Former President Carter

Love Lib infighting

Keep it up

Well, we're not a mindless cult like the GOP, that's the thing.

You see, when Carter was voted out, we took stock of what he did wrong and didn't repeat it. He still deserves the respect for doing the job under difficult circumstances, but his presidency was a failure.

As opposed to the Bleach-drinkers, who look at Trump's failed presidency and say, "Yeah, let's do that again, because Second Terms are always worse than first terms!"

1) I was a baby don’t remember him
2) That was a joke by Trump. You took it literally. Awesome. So gullible.

Was FDR’s 2nd term a bad one? 3rd term?

It wasn't a joke, he seriously asked Birx and Fauci that in a press conference.

Actually, FDR's second term was a pretty bad one. the country slipped back into recession, and much of the New Deal was struck down by the Supreme court.

His third term depends on whether or not you consider US involvement in WWII to be a good thing or a bad thing.

Watched that conference. He was kidding. Again I am smarter than you.

Pretty sure it was a good thing since Japan and Germany declared war on the US. LOL

He has a long lasting legacy in the area (Plains GA) where he lived before his political career took off.

I'll take their word over it before yours.
OK, you do that, I'm so sure his track record would back what you heard at the Piggly Wiggly, especially a Naval Academy degree and the first politician to advance civil rights on such a scale as he did, as well as conservation projects and protected wilderness legislation larger than any since Teddy Roosevelt.

Alaskans should erect a statue to this man.

I lived through Jimmy Carter's feckless presidency. Why would I need to see a video on it?

Look, man, DEMOCRATS were sick of the guy by 1979; it's why they all got behind Ted Kennedy.

Then they realized the futility of replacing an incumbent president.
Thank you for confirming you know nothing.

Do you remember the time he almost started WW3 by having a nuclear exchange with the Soviet Union? (Soviet invasion of Afghanistan)

Remember how he embarrassed us on the world stage multiple times? Once with the Hostage Crisis rescue and then the fiasco with the Panama Canal? (Not that he gave it back but who he installed as "presidente" of Panama)

Then there was the issue of the Federal Reserve nominations....he absolutely refused to appoint people who were interested in domestic industry. (Strong dollar policy) making imports dirt cheap and exports too expensive....making the US lose tons of jobs.

I must have missed that WWIII stuff

Carter avoided war with Iran and got all of our hostages returned safely

Carter actually was the last President to balance the budget

Carter being rejected by the Christian right, who now hail Donald Trump as a savior like figure in American politics, really could not be more fitting.

Newt Gingrich and the Republican congress did that under Clinton....of course Clinton took credit for it but whatever....

And yes....when Soviets were invading Afghanistan Cater was seriously considering the nuclear exchange with Russia because our Military was in such crap shape to do anything. We needed jets, airplanes, ships, and etc....we had nothing. What we did have needed massive repair.

We were still driving WW2 era jeeps. Let's not forget U2 spy planes....

Carter never considered a nuclear exchange with the Soviets

Really?
That's fascinating how you rewrite history there.

And exactly what does your revisionist history tell you about the incident?

I'm glad Jimmy Carter lived long enough to see Biden take first place when it comes to the worst president. He carried that unfortunate title for too long.
