More of your evil, disingenuous, sophist arguments. Then you don't understand their position in this.
can you show me reference to the Sanhedrin in biblical text? If not, show me the biblical reference to "local rabbis/beit din."
If you don't see the Jewish texts as authoritative, then why do you take the Torah statements against these behaviors as normative?
Below are some key passages from the Hebrew Bible (Torah) that instruct Israel to establish courts of law (appointing judges and officers) and to enforce the divine commandments. (All citations are from the 1985 JPS)
Deuteronomy 16:18–20 (JPS 1985)
18 You shall appoint magistrates and officials for your tribes, in all the settlements that YHWH your Elohim is giving you, and they shall govern the people with due justice.
19 You shall not judge unfairly; you shall show no partiality; you shall not take bribes, for bribes blind the eyes of the discerning and upset the plea of the just.
20 Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may thrive and occupy the land that YHWH your Elohim is giving you.
Deuteronomy 17:8–12 (JPS 1985)
8 If a case is too baffling for you to decide—be it a controversy over homicide, civil law, or assault—matters of dispute in your courts, you shall promptly repair to the place that YHWH your Elohim will have chosen,
9 and appear before the levitical priests, or the magistrate in charge at the time, and present your problem. When they have announced to you the verdict in the case,
10 you shall carry out the verdict that is announced to you from that place which YHWH chose, observing scrupulously all their instructions to you.
11 You shall act in accordance with the instructions given you and the ruling handed down to you; you must not deviate from the verdict that they announce to you either to the right or to the left.
12 Should a man act presumptuously and disregard the priest charged with serving there YHWH your Elohim, or the magistrate, that man shall die. Thus you will sweep out evil from Israel.
Exodus 18:21–22 (JPS 1985)
21 But you shall choose out of the entire people capable men who fear Elohim, trustworthy men who spurn ill-gotten gain. Set these over them as chiefs of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens,
22 and let them judge the people at all times. Have them bring every major dispute to you, but let them decide every minor dispute themselves. Make it easier for yourself by letting them share the burden with you.
Deuteronomy 1:16–17 (JPS 1985)
16 I charged your magistrates at that time as follows: “Hear out your fellow men, and decide justly between any man and a fellow Israelite or a stranger.
17 You shall not be partial in judgment: hear out low and high alike. Fear no man, for judgment is Elohim’s. And any matter that is too difficult for you, you shall bring to me and I will hear it.”
In these passages, the Israelites are explicitly commanded to appoint judges and officials (magistrates, officers) who will apply and enforce the commandments and ensure just rulings among the people. This system of justice is presented as a fundamental requirement for maintaining righteousness and order in the covenant community. To do otherwise is to invite chaos/disorder into Israel, resulting in the defilement of the Jewish people and of their stewardship of the land.
Jews can't stand in the breech, as humanity's cohenim before YHWH and His Tsabaoth, if they're behaving like dibbukim. How will the Jewish people wrestle with spiritual forces, on behalf of humanity, if they're defiling themselves with idols, secularism, and homosexuality? Your exclusive claim to the Holy Land (The land of YHWH), will never be valid or honored by anyone until you keep and enforce his commandments in the land.
