That the Jesus mentioned in that passage of Josephus was not the Jesus of the scriptures...sure...why not?So you too believe Josephus.
Josephus mentioned him because he was the only one saying the exact opposite of the multitude of other false prophets. (Who all died as well)
This oddball wasn't exactly a believer in the Christian Jesus either...if he was he wouldn't have been there.
All of the Christian believers had left the area about 3½ years earlier as the Christian Jesus had given them a specific prophecy, sign, and time to leave Jerusalem and Lasaich. They first had a stopover in the Gadarenes area where Jesus had performed the exorcism of "Legion" 35 years before. There the Christian community supplied and housed them so they could move on to elsewhere. The Christian community in Gadarenes was packing up to leave as well when the Christians left Jerusalem...they knew it was over for Israel. The place wouldn't be the same anymore.
