The Jesus Narrative in the Talmud

So you too believe Josephus.
That the Jesus mentioned in that passage of Josephus was not the Jesus of the scriptures...sure...why not?
Josephus mentioned him because he was the only one saying the exact opposite of the multitude of other false prophets. (Who all died as well)

This oddball wasn't exactly a believer in the Christian Jesus either...if he was he wouldn't have been there.
All of the Christian believers had left the area about 3½ years earlier as the Christian Jesus had given them a specific prophecy, sign, and time to leave Jerusalem and Lasaich. They first had a stopover in the Gadarenes area where Jesus had performed the exorcism of "Legion" 35 years before. There the Christian community supplied and housed them so they could move on to elsewhere. The Christian community in Gadarenes was packing up to leave as well when the Christians left Jerusalem...they knew it was over for Israel. The place wouldn't be the same anymore.

Here's a thought, nobody but is trying to make the case that Schofield is the antichrist an that Hal Lindsey was his false prophet. Do you really think that just because you keep throwing those names out there is makes you look "smart"? It makes you look a kid plating with her brand new word of the day calendar.

LOLOL.. Nobody said Scofield or Lindsey were the anti-Christ.

Scofield is NOT brand new word for me. Is it a brand new word for you?

Did you know all ancient people believed in gods, and the tales they told about their gods.

Did you know all ancient people believed in gods, and the tales they told about their gods.
But there's a huge difference now isn't there?
No one prays to the Hellenistic gods anymore but billions have continued to pray to Jesus...
Probably due to efficacy.

You simply are not a bright woman. Apparently sarcasm escapes. Scofield is not the Nazi you paint him to be. The fat is that much like you he chose to interpret tings his way instead of the way the Bible explains things. Yup, you and scofield are bosom buddies you just aren't smart enough to see it.

Are you talking about the flight to Pella?

Why on earth are you calling Scofield a Nazi? He was funded by Zionists.

He based his beliefs on the Darbyites and the dreams of a teen-aged girl.

You talk about so many things you have absolutely no clue and partial misinformation that I don't know what you are talking about now.

(Matthew 24:16-20)
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, (18) and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. (19) And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! (20) Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

(Mark 13:15-18)
Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out, (16) and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. (17) And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! (18) Pray that it may not happen in winter.

(Luke 21:21-23)
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, (22) for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. (23) Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people.

If you are referencing the prophecy Jesus gave concerning the fleeing of Jerusalem after the sign of the abomination that causes desolation that Herod committed...yes.
Menalaus and his band of buddies cut down the Roman Empire Eagle that Herod had erected over the Gate and the effigies of Caesar placed all over Jerusalem. Menalaus and company of course were of course executed. Herod had them done in the middle of the night....in 66AD.

The resulting series of riots because of this caused Titus to withdraw and besiege Jerusalem for 3½ years focusing on the Temple Mount complex.

But Herod's actions were the start of it all.

Jesus was referencing the temple being defiled by Antiochus IV. He was saying when you see it happening again flee to the mountains. Herod didn't defile the Temple. Many Jews were cooperative with the Romans like the Herodians and the Sadducees. Herod's granddaughter was the mistress of Titus.

Anyway they fled to Pella.

Ummmm
Again you are proving that you are an idiot...
Josephus and other historical narratives explain exactly what I related here....which is exactly what is an abomination that causes desolation. The erection of the Roman Empire Eagle over the Temple Complex gate was an abomination.
It was a symbolic statement stating that God, Worship, and the "Holy City" was subject to the rule of the Roman Empire.

Whatever definition you are using for "abomination that causes desolation" needs to be thrown out. Because Jesus was 100% accurate in his prophecy. Didn't miss one tiny bit.

"The erection of the Roman Empire Eagle over the Temple Complex gate was an abomination. "

Yes it was among the defilements, but Herod didn't do that, The Romans did.

So you double down on your idiocy?

Still haven't got a lick of common sense.

What's wrong with you?

The erection of the Roman Empire Eagle over the Temple Complex gate was an abomination. No flags just Standards and battle standards.

Do you not know which Herod did what I am speaking about?
But even still the Edomite Herod was considered a Roman....but it wasn't him at any rate.

It was a later Herod that gave the order.

You just completely reversed yourself and threw in worthless information to your position....

So essentially tripling down on your idiocy.

No I didn't.. You're just as prickly as an old woman. I feel sorry for you.

Few symbols represent Rome as powerfully as the eagle. Perched atop the legionary standard, its wings outstretched, this ferocious hunting bird represented the span of the Roman Empire. The Romans originally affixed several symbols to the top of their standards. As well as the eagle, they used the wolf, the horse, the boar, and the human-headed o
