1200 calories for a 5’11 man seems too restrictive, and your weight loss too rapid. IMHO.FWIW, I started a 1200 cal/day diet on Labor Day at 213 pounds and weighed in on Thanksgiving at 185. No drugs, just cutting back. I'm continuing to scale back for December, then I'm going back on the diet in January, hoping to get to 175 (I'm 5'11"). Still, I'm curious about how people make it with Ozempic.
There are calculators that you can use to determine your daily maintenance calories, and then subtract 500 calories from that. For example, at my height and weight, my “maintenance” is 1800, so 500 less would bring me to a 500-calorie deficit and a 1-pound loss per week. If you lose too fast, you loose a lot of muscle.
