The judge was disgusted with Flynn's crimes. He was willing to consider Flynn's decades of service, but still felt, he'd be treated too leniently. Flynn's team raised some pretty scurrilous allegations against the FBI. The judge called Flynn on that, and Flynn beat a very hasty retreat. So, the judge urged Flynn to take some more time to support the prosecution in order to redeem himself. We've seen that construed as a bad day for Mueller, and as proof of the investigation's corruption.

Law enforcement showing up at a criminal's doorstep or office, asking question as to what he's done on this or that occasion, is now an "ambush". Asking the questions while law enforcement already knows what that criminal has done, is now "entrapment".

The funniest of all: Law enforcement now slowly beginning to clean out the swamp that is the Trump administration is being construed as The Swamp's revenge on Trump.

Flynn did NOTHING to "mount an attack against this country" and it was the JUDGE who walked back his ill-conceived "treason" comments after a break.. Think the JUDGE had a worse day..

He didn't really walk back all of his comments, he sort of walked back his question on whether it could be considered treason? And he corrected that Flynn was not sworn in yet as NSA. But he still believed Flynn sold his Country out.

Only criminal activity that Flynn MIGHT HAVE commtted is not registering as a foreign agent in his consulting in Turkey BEFORE the election.. Mueller did not INDICT him on that charge and apparently doesn't want to talk about WHY he didn't to the judge... THAT's what the judge was referring to when he called it inexcusable. "Playing himself" means Flynn went into the court room all cocky, because he thought he was getting off without a sentence and using his lawyers to make the point that he was being ambushed by perjuring himself, when in fact, that was never the case. He ended up walking back those statements to re-affirm to the country, that he lied on his own. No one ambushed him about the truth.. He foolishly "played himself", and as a result, may end up getting jail time.
