You seem to have a serious hangup over skin color
Most people are superficial, thus, skin color is a big deal.

Skin color only matters when it comes two things. Those two things are politics and the medical field. In the medical field, it is important to know how certain diseases target certain genetic lines. However, in politics, skin color is a great way to divide and conquer, which is what politics is all about. Skin color is an excellent way to divide and conquer a people. After all, if politicians wanted to treat everyone the same, and fairly, who would vote for them or give their money to them? Nope. politics is simply choosing a group to try and exploit another group to get a leg up on them.

Where you run into trouble is when you want to oppress or persecute a certain group of people who look like you do. This was especially troubling in Western Europe as Jews were being persecuted over the millennia by the Catholic church. But necessity is the mother of invention, so those in Western Europe simply had the targeted population dress the part of the Jew so they could be easily identified. For example, in 125 the Fourth Lateran Council approved cannon laws that made Jews wear a special dress with a badge in the form of a ring. But it varied where you went, like in 1259 in Mainz Jews were ordered to wear yellow badges. However, in Vienna they were ordered to wear horned hats. Hitler later changed this to making them wear the Star of David in the 1940's.

Not only to most renderings of Jesus make him appear Caucasian, all renderings make him appear attractive.

Conversely, Isaiah 53 says otherwise

Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Now, I find it hard to believe he was in this bad of shape, but I digress

Isaiah 53 is not about Jesus.. Its about Israel. Read it in context not as a stand alone verse.

4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b]
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life[d] and be satisfied[e];
by his knowledge[f] my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,[g]
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,[h]
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

So you expect us to believe that Israel was punished for the transgression of the people? The people are the nation and the Bible tells us that God judged and dispersed them because of their iniquity. The Hebrew people murdered and persecuted the prophets who then tried to warn them, so they were far from righteous. Isaiah 53 paints a picture of a just and righteous person whom God chose to "crush" and judge. Jesus is the only example of this in the Bible, all others God "crushes" are sinful people, not righteous ones.

Sorry, your assertion makes no sense.

Read the whole of Isaiah.. This is about Israel. Israel is always referred to as the servant of God.. Christians can't make their case by fiddling around with scripture. Same with Hosea.. It just makes a mess of things when you change the subject in the middle of a whole book.

Isaiah 41:8 8"But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,
So what is Daniel talking about here in Daniel 9:24-27?

24 “Seventy ‘sevens’[a] are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish[b] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.[c]

25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One,[d] the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing.[e] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’[f] In the middle of the ‘seven’[g] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple[h] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

Is Daniel talking about Israel here being put to death like he was in Isaiah or is it the Messiah?

Daniel was written in 138 BC in response to the crimes and persecutions of Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the Maccabean Revolt. It was written by a group of Jewish , presumably scholars, who sought to comfort and encourage the Jews during a terrible time.
So for the record, this passage is not about the Messiah?

Do you even believe in the coming Messiah? If so, I would love to know what passages you think refer to him.

I find it strange that many liberals who dont even believe in God are nevertheless fascinated by what color Jesus might have been.

Southern Baptists can't abide praying to a ME terrorist.

White? Ok.

Swarthy and middle eastern? A terrorist suspect.

I don't think it strange because this is how the Left has always rolled. After all, Hitler was a national socialist. He knew the political value of dividing and conquering the populace according to race and socio-economic levels, and it worked beautifully for him. Essentially, Hitler looked around and saw a minority within his society that was socio-economically well off, those being the Jews. He also was aware of how people covet so he embraced national socialism to try and exploit the fact that people covet what the rich have. So he heavily taxed the top 4% in Germany, but most importantly rounded up the Jews, took their gold, and sent them off to die. The people of Germany loved watching the top 4% in Germany suffer with high taxes, and they had little concern for the rich Jews who suffered as well and participated in their persecution, much like we see rioters vandalizing stores of "rich" folk in the US today.

In fact, the Left today talks more about race than Hitler ever did, which is a little scary.

Look at how the Left views the Jews in the US today

History repeating itself, it's de ja vu all over again.

Southern Baptist believe a swarthy Jesus is just using his fancy skills of multiplying fish and bread and feeding the poor and healing the sick as cover for something nefarious.

Like raising an Army of the dead to take over the world.

And he succeeded!

Ever look into the eyes of a Southern Baptist?

Or a Trumpie?

Yup.

74 million Trump zombies wondering around in their MAGA hats moaning 'I wish I had brains... I wish I had brains.'

I will ask again, are there any scriptures in the OT that refer to the coming Messiah in your opinion?

If so, where?

Are you a Jew that does not believe in a coming Messiah or someone who does not believe scripture?

What on earth are you babbling about?

Godless libs hate Christians no matter what color they are

but as long as black Christians are still useful to the left they will be the last ones on the chopping block

The description in Revelations says he hair is white as wool and snow, eyes like fire, feet like bronze.

I think it’s safe to say that’s not what he looked like before.
True.

His hair is like wool (or snow) and feet like burnished bronze. His voice roars like many waters (the way the Israelites often heard God's voice). Nothing about skin color in that passage.

That passage describes Jesus in the Parousia, not in the flesh.

So....why is He depicted as blonde, with wavy long hair, and blue eyes? He was hebrew. Hebrews were dark.

“MICHELANGELO (1475-1564) One of the major reasons the image of Jesus Christ was changed from black to white was due to some of Michelangelo's paintings. He was given a contract on 10th May 1508 by Pope Julius II to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He used members of his family as models. For instance, his cousin was the model for Jesus Christ. The paintings were carried out between 1508 and 1512.”

Wow. I didn't know that. Very informative!

And I find it fascinating that that is all you get from this thread and my initial question. Self project much?
