If Jesus were here on earth, and you had a chance to ask him a question, what would you ask him that might clarify (or verify) one of his teachings or another biblical verse?

ETA: If you are not a believer: Could you explain to him why.

Why do you allow dems to exist, shouldn't you smite them or something? ;)
More seriously, one of my favorite Democrats is Harold Ford, Jr. He (and I'm sure others) might possibly be able to encourage congress to work across the aisle with each other. What I would prefer is that voting is more than either party simply voting along the party line. Voting strictly along party lines tells me a party must have some kind of "boss" who determines how everyone votes (or else, no funding for them in the future).

As for what Jesus might recommend: What would be best for the American people? What would be the solution that is holy?

I would ask Him how long he had to suffer on that cross to pay for my sins. And then I'd break down in shame...
Along the lines of capital punishment, I would want to ask whether there should be a death penalty for murder.

I might want to know how to better make decisions regarding helping the poor.

Maybe a big ass flood, that would take care of the left and right coasts. ;)
As one who lives somewhat near one of the coasts, it seems to me it is not the coast line that is the problem, it is metropolitan areas. When a party takes over a metropolitan area (or an entire state), those of other parties feel they have no voice at all. It seems there should be some way all can still be heard instead of majority rules and everyone else may as well shut up/give up.

I want to know what the Bible means at creation, when "the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the water." (Gen 1:2)

What is the "surface of the deep"?

I love that verse. I hope I can see it one day

Why do I have to go to hell when I choose not to believe in you? Haven't you read the constitution.

ding: why are you not enough for me?
Jesus: Because you only think you love me.
ding: ouch.

Not everyone does. But for those that do it's because everyone is accountable to God. Why are you afraid of being judged?

The deep translates in Hebrew as the abyss. There is no words surface of the deep.

Earth is defined as the material out of which the universe was formed. So they assume there was some primordial material there.
So the reference is that in the beginning. The earth was unformed and void and darkness upon the face of the deep.

Your not accountable you can sin all you want believe in Jesus and bang zoom your forgiven. Thats not accountable. A mythical god cant judge me so IM not afraid of what doesnt exist

Obviously you didn't understand what Jesus taught.

Jesus did not teach that human beings are not accountable. While Jesus emphasized grace and forgiveness, his teachings, along with the broader New Testament, strongly uphold personal accountability for actions, words, and stewardship of life to God. He taught that actions have consequences and that followers are accountable to God.

Jesus specifically warned that people will be held accountable on the day of judgment for every careless word they speak (Matthew 12:36-37). Parables, such as the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), indicate that followers are accountable for how they use their time, gifts, and resources. Scripture, including Jesus’ teaching on addressing sin within the church (Matthew 18:15-17), encourages mutual accountability to help believers grow in faith. While Christians are not under condemnation because of Christ, they still stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be accountable for their lives (2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:12-15).
