Zone1 Asking Jesus a question

Don't give up. I've taught all age groups. Look at it more as not all have learned that...yet.

Sadly many never will and they are placed in positions of influence.

"How is it you allow this to happen"

Would be another good question.

Why do I have to go to hell when I choose not to believe in you?
Where does it say you go to hell if you do not believe?

And maybe I should ask....what does it mean to believe.

It may be over-rated.

James 2:19 says the devils "believe".

There is another parable......

In Matthew 21 it is called the parable of the two sons.

All of us are born with a moral compass of sorts and some degree of compassion. If we never heard the name of Jesus Christ in this life, his light (that compass) still guides us.

And how we respond to that is more how we will be judged than by joining the devils in just believing.

Again...what does it mean to believe?

There is no hell or devil only fools who believe it

Jesus taught repentance (complete change of heart) for the forgiveness of sins.
.. along with water baptism, forgiveness of sins was by confession of sins and repentance.. see Mark 1:4,5:
John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And all the country of Judea was going out to him, and all the people of Jerusalem; and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
.. The if / then formula: If you confess, repent and get baptized (in water).. then your sins are forgiven. But Paul writes about forgiveness differently:
Eph 1:7:
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
So which of these is right for us now? Forgiveness through our works (Mark 1:4,5).. or.. Forgiveness through HIS work on the Cross (Eph 1:7) ??

I dont need Jesus dont want Jesus and have no use for Jesus

O.K.

I asked you a question and you don't have to answer.

Attacking others doesn't seem like a good discussion technique (in this forum anyway :)).

But you had asked a question and I responded challenging the premise.

My apologies if I spit in your coffee.

Hell is foolish and a primitive concept.

If Jesus were here on earth, and you had a chance to ask him a question, what would you ask him that might clarify (or verify) one of his teachings or another biblical verse?

ETA: If you are not a believer: Could you explain to him why.
I already have concept of God that doesnt involve an idol or threats to force belief. I like it better. Its more compassionate and supports human freedom.

Yes, you show your compassion for others so well.
