And what "socialist" policies are there in the US that aren't in trouble today?

Medicare--going broke and has been underpaying health providers for it's patients leading to increase premium costs for those who have private insurance.

Medicaid--one of the largest expenditures in many states and is causing them to be in the red.

Social Security--another program going broke and we are now paying out more than we take in. It's the second highest tax deduction out of our paychecks when you consider the employers match.

Post office--broke and will continue to be broke.
