Vice President Kamala Harris' loss to President-elect Donald Trump places the Democratic Party in an awkward position of having no clear leader in the months to come.
Once President Biden and Harris leave office in January, Democrats will be without a figurehead, proving an opportunity for some of the party's top personalities to fill the void. We have, therefore, compiled a list of potential candidates.
1.
President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel. Sure, he is currently the President of another country, but he may be willing to fill the job at least part time. After all, Cuba has free health care and, according to Bernie Sanders, a fabulous reading program for kids making him the ideal candidate.
2.
Nicolás Maduro[ of Venezuela is a strong second candidate. He alone took over the evil oil companies in Venezuela and now they are run by the state as he uses their money for only doing good in the world. This is something the Left has always wanted, and so long as he promises not to turn the US into a crime ridden hell hole facing an economic abyss of despair, like he has done in his own country, he should win no problem.
3.
Maria Jose Cristena Mendez, also known as the Vampire woman or Jaguar woman. Democrats may want to go back to their bread and butter, which is diversity and identity politics that has served them so well in the past.
4.
The rotting corpse of Vladimir Lenin. Why not go back to basics where the Left started? Sure, he died a long time ago, but his body is well preserved, making it accessible to this day for adoring fans to come visit him and continue to worship him. Who will run the country? I guess the same people running the country today for Joe Biden, who admittedly is a better-preserved rotting corpse. Power to the workers!!
5.
The ashes of one Adolf Hitler. Why? It is because America apparently loves him, after electing Donald Trump twice. Since America is drowning in systemic racism and white supremacy, why not put up the best identified candidate and win, or do democrats want to continue to lose? It is their choice really. Who will run the country? Again, the same people running it now for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris whoever they may be. And as we all know, NAZI means National Socialists, so democrats won't have to give up on Socialism just yet.
