What actually happened, however, is Wood raked in fundraising cash to a nebulous group called FightBack. In March, Rittenhouse's mom Wendy said that Wood told her it was critical for Rittenhouse to stay in jail because "Armageddon" was approaching in post-election America. At that point, Wendy Rittenhouse demanded an audit of Wood's fundraising into the FightBack Foundation.

She also said that Wood and his colleague John Pierce were using Kyle Rittenhouse's image "for their own political sh*t." In October, Rittenhouse was moved from Illinois to Wisconsin to stand trial. Wood promoted the #FightBack Fund and the necessity to raise $1 million before Rittenhouse appeared in court. The court set his bail at $2 million, and the #FightBack group had "supposedly reached that benchmark weeks earlier."

Basically, grifters gonna grift...Lin Wood and company let Kyle stay in prison at least a month longer than he should had because they wanted to keep fundraising off him...they also charged his family almost $1300 per hour which was over twice the rate of top leading firms...but as long as the lawyers and the Rittenhouse family both hate the same people...what's wrong with a little grift?
