Lawyer Attempting to Get Back Kyle Rittenhouse's $2m Bail Money

A controversial lawyer who helped raise the $2 million bail money for Kenosha double murder suspect Kyle Rittenhouse is now seeking to have the money returned to his organization at the end of the 18-year-old's trial.

Lin Wood, a defamation lawyer-turned-conspiracy theorist and influential figure in the radical QAnon movement, is attempting to have the money he pulled together to help get the teenager out of jail in November 2020 given to his #FightBack Foundation.

Rittenhouse is accused of killing two people and seriously injuring another during shootings at Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020.

The pro-Donald Trump attorney, who is currently facing sanctions for his dismissed lawsuits seeking to challenge the result of the 2020 election, managed to raise the $2 million to free Rittenhouse following a successful fundraising campaign backed by a number of conservative figures, along with fellow attorney John Pierce.

Lawyer, a QAnon nutt, raises a $2 million bail to get Kyle out on bond. Now he wants the $2 million to go to his organization.

I want the money to go to Kyle, even if Kyle goes to prison. You?

It's a pretty simple concept, if Wood posted the bail, once the situation is resolved the money should be returned to the person who posted it. Then the distribution would be determined by Wood and the folks that assisted in raising it.

Sleazy is as sleazy does.

IMHO, Wood should be disbarred and given some short time in minimal security jail.

IMHO, Rittenhouse should at least be convicted of manslaughter, illegal possession and discharge of a firearm and sentenced as an adult. The clowns who gave him the weapon should get some hefty fines or some time in local lock up.

Now that Wood has gotten himself disbarred, he's looking for cash.

Kyle should go to jail with NOTHING. The little swine deserves to rot.
They sure did run when he did his freedom fighter gig. You see Dragonlady, when violence is two ways it can be nasty. That kid went up into the belly of a dangerous beast and taught it to curtsy. He is no different then Floyd or Rosa Parks. He was fighting for rights that barbarians were infringing on.

I love how you make shit up to justify murder. Nothing Rittenhouse claimed should be taken at face value.

There is absolutely no evidence that the guy he killed was a pedophile. That's just the bullshit excuse your clowns floated to justify his shooting an unarmed man.
I don't need to make an excuse. Video evidence shows the attack. Rittenhouse protected his own life. Armed or not, if you attack me that is a direct threat to take my weapon and use it against me.

The only mistake Rittenhouse made was not putting one RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES of the clown that pulled a hand gun on him!!!!

That's why there is a cat fight. Pierce cut the check from his law firm. Wood assisted in raising the money through a foundation, which gave the money to the law firm.

Then they bailed on the Rittenhouse family, who is now fundraising on their own for their legal costs. So, if he is acquitted, one of these two scumbags will keep that money.

The little swine---he shot 3 felons trying to kill him....He's a hero being railroaded.

The money will be returned regardless of the resolution, the only exception might be if he's allowed to remain out on bail pending an appeal.

Not likely, if he is convicted. Court costs, and funds to the victims and their families would likely be awarded. Could eat up the entire $2 mil.

LMAO, you don't seem to understand the legal system. The bail money doesn't belong to Rittenhouse, so the court would have no authority to seize it to satisfy any judgement.

No. They can indeed seize the bail money to pay costs, restitution, etc. The rest is returned.
