A true Christian does not believe that its OK to sin "because Jesus died for" him 2000+ years ago and forgives everything... EVEN before the sin is committed! Jesus CAN and does forgive sins but not if someone is not sorry, does not repent of it, does not make "a firm purpose of amendment" as the words of Absolution (in the RCC) puts it.

A person who hates others and does them wrong is violating Christ's Commandment to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Yes, we have all violated that one, at least with words. But some Christians realize or suspect when they may be doing this and... again: REPENT.

Some here have NO humility at all.. think they know everything already and can never learn a damn thing from anyone else. I figure it is all up to any individual to pick up the New Testament, read it from front to back like they would any other book, and decide for themselves.

Just as Jesus taught that people should create a one-on-one relationship with God, it seems to me that they should also approach the bible in the same fashion and learn directly rather than through the indoctrination by a third party.

I'm sorry but I don't think any of us have the authority to say whether a person is a 'real Christian' or not. None of us know what is in the heart and mind of another. Of course the Atheists, agnostics or those who embrace another religion (Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism or whatever) are not Christian and don't consider themselves to be. But the person who loves God but is struggling with sin should be encouraged and prayed for and loved and if necessary pointed to help, not told he/she is 'not a real Christian.'

I do know that Jesus had a lot to say about judging, accusing, maligning others. I take seriously the admonition to judge not. I think Jesus took that one seriously. Matthew 7:5
