You are correct but the contest between "Satan" vs Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in His resurrected body is a lot like a six year old child practicing Jujitsu with his dad or his coach.

I don't see it that way. Jesus Christ is the Almighty God in the flesh. He could heal the sick and the blind. And He conquered death and rose into Heaven. Jesus Christ is also the Creator according to the Bible. He created Satan and can and will defeat Satan.

My guess is that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus had a physical body plus a human spirit, [much as was breathed into Adam and Eve], plus we all have a "soul" which I was told by near death experiencer Kevin Zadai that is our mind plus will plus emotions.

My guess is that what Jewish theologians refer to as "The Spirit of Moshiach stored in Gan Eden" came down on Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus after his baptism in the Jordan River by his cousin John the Baptist.

This Spirit of Moshiach stored in Gan Eden, could be compared to being a brother of Satan, [but I believe that this was also the Word - Lotos Who actually created former Covering Cherub Helel who became Lucifer - Satan].

On the particular day that marks the end of the galut, when Mashiach will redeem Israel, the unique pre-existing soul of Mashiach ‘stored’ in Gan Eden from aforetimes will descend and be bestowed upon that tzadik.10 R. Mosheh Sofer summarizes this principle in his responsa:11

"As for the coming of the scion of David, I need to posit the following premise: Moses the first redeemer of Israel, reached the age of eighty years and did not know or sense that he would redeem Israel. On the plus side the rebellion of Satan is working out a part of human and angelic history that eventually would have happened anyway in a universe where humans and angels are free to rebel and behave in a selfish and egotistical manner.

I really think all that religious stuff is highly allegorical.
I think God is so complex that his ideas and intentions must be sent out like he is communicating with an amoeba.

I do agree with you that the Gnostics were indeed onto some important ideas that perhaps they may have partly gotten from the Essene Jewish Community of the first century.

I personally believe that Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus and His cousin John the Baptist were likely mentored by the Essene community.
