For weeks now I have been warning about this. Rick Santorum is TOO EXTREME to capture the female vote in this country. And since 52% of the electorate are women--the writing is on the wall for an all out landslide for liberal democrats--if by some miracle--Santorum is the nominee.

Because of Santorum and Limbaugh--they are trying to tag all of us--including me--a fiscal conservative woman--who is really not interested in birth control contraceptives--nor do I approve of Santorum's right wing radical social ideas--of banning porn--banning casino's--and telling us what he believes is "right" according to his Roman Catholic religion. In fact, I am sick of him. I am a Christian and I have my own religion.

Now Santorum is killing any chance what-so-ever of defeating Barack Obama. We'll not only lose the Presidency--but the house will go back to Nancy Pelosi--and Harry Reid is certain to keep control of the Senate.

AND FOR WHAT? Because many of you actually believe that Washington D. C. can legislate the personal behavior of others--according to how you think they should live their lives--including getting into their personal--private matters of birth control contraceptives.

Obama is 'at war' with women also, or so I read here.

That’s really not the issue republicans need worry about. Santorum will not be the nominee, that’s a fact. But as long as he stays in the race, focusing attention on irrelevant ‘social issues,’ the more difficult it will be for Romney to attract the independents and weak democrats he needs to win.

AGREED--the Sooner Santorum is out of this race the better--then we can get back to real issues that are important to Americans. Jobs--deficits--government expansion and spending--and gas prices.

If a democrat says it, it's not true. This is a campaign spot. Republicans should take up the gauntlet and start telling the public that democrats want the right to murder children up to two years old and admire China's one child policy.

In fact, why not get some democrat women up there to talk about how they admire women that have had abortions, including themselves. Get a few clips from the Vagina Monologues and show ten year old girls wearing t-shirts proudly proclaiming "I am a ****". They are sold at the pay venues to make a little extra money.

I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic schools from grade 1 through grade 12. Never have I met a Catholic like Rick. He sounds more like a Fundi Pentecostal. Although he disgust me, at least he is true to himself and his convictions. romney, on the other hand...

All that RW over-the-top rhetoric is coming back to bite the GOP. Now, maybe some people on the right can understand why politicians have traditionally spoken very carefully on the issues. Boring may not be flashy, but it's not poisonous either.

One more time, the war was on when the GOP Decided to side with the Men In Dresses over working women.

Santorum didn't have that much to do with it...

The GOP does have a problem in that if it runs on it's main goal, which is making the rich richer, without promising the religous nutbags something, they really aren't going to garner that many votes.

Are you advocating the GOP drop it's anti-abortion planks?

A social conservative would argue that those problems are all symptoms, and it's the disintrigration of the traditional family that is the underlying problem.

And frankly, Romney hasn't convinced me that he has any real answers to any of those problems. He and his sort even caused a few of them.

If Romney has a "problem" it that he needs to appeal to these social conservatives, even if he doesn't share their views. The don't really trust him, thus Santorum's staying power.

BUt it's not like he's going to get up in Tampa and say, "You know what, Abortion is here to stay, and you dumb fugnuts better learn to deal!"
