Both of them total shit bags, Teddy Roosevelt was an absolute shit eating progressive. Lincoln was an absolute dictator, suspended habeas corpus among many other unforgivable things.Well both Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt are the highest rated Republican presidents, but there is probably little chance of Republicans making those kind of mistakes today,Republicans stuck Teddy into the Vice Presidency to shut him up and not let his ideas get a foothold. Then bingo McKinley gets himself shot and as boss Hanna said: "That damn cowboy is in the White House now."Thats why I never understood TR's appeal to conservatives. He was the prototype big government stinking Progressive.Back in 1910 a retired Republican president made a plea that Americans should not be afraid of the word "socialism" In fact, TR said that we should not be afraid to adopt certain principles of socialism, The former Republican president thought socialism part of the future.
Yep, I never understood why any Republicans like him. The same goes for Lincoln, who was an outright tyrant and dictator.
