Well, if you knew what mormons teach....you'd know they say you can't be convinced.

In fact, as of late, the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has indicated that anyone who does not do the work to gain a testimony by the Spirit (Holy Ghost) and a conviction....won't survive spiritually.

That sounds like putting the onus on you and everyone else to find out for themselves and NOT be convinced by mom, dad, brother, sister, or Bishop.

One of his first revelations published (and later included in the D&C was section 5 where he gets his butt chewed for not following God....but instead bowing to the pressure of men.

If you are setting yourself up to be a high and mighty, I don't think you publish revelations where the Almighty bawls you out.

But I could be wrong.

Condone ?????

He simply references the third heaven. Both for and against have an equal argument as there is little else on the subject.

But then, that is why God gave apostles and prophets.

Most of the New Testament is Paul's writings to congregations correcting their mistakes and giving encouragement.

There was no bible at that time. And there was certainly no book of revelations.

The Old Testament grew as each prophet arrived and kept history of his dealings. Adding to the book as it were.

They have a church in my AO....They are sorta odd.....They vote dem but are armed to the teeth and have their own range on church grounds.

My former neighbor is a Mormon but he would not have anything to do with them because he works for the BP and that particular bunch believes in unfettered Mormon immigration from Mexico.

Something to do with a Momon area down there and they want them up here.....Maybe they got their wish with FJB's open border.

I would also not want to worship any God who casts people into Hell our the "Outer Darkness" because they had the bad luck to be born into the wrong faith and just don't know anything else.

Yeah, from what I'm told they are single issue voters (immigration) but are otherwise "normal".

Maybe that has changed but I note the district that they are all in still had about the same number of dem voters last November.

He started one of the major religions of the world with no proof and only his words and writings. Regardless of what you believe religiously, that is most impressive.
