President Trump has masterfully maneuvered Putin into a position of irrelevance on the world stage. Other than acting out its continuing resentment of Ukraine for assisting the Germans during WW2, Russia has lost its influence and credibility with almost every other country. Like Iran, Putin passed up an opportunity to end its war and make beneficial economic deals with the US and Western Europe that would have lifted Russia up to becoming the dominant energy supplier for Western Europe. Instead, Trump is now offering China a chance to become a primary economic partner with the US.

President Trump has turned the US into the world's sole superpower which can dictate the rules under which other countries must follow if they want to participate in the world's economy. The current blockade of Iranian oil exports will have a lasting effect on future energy calculations of supply risk and reliability. As long as the US controls the free passage of international trade, it will remain the indispensable force in global affairs.

Interesting analysis

By refusing cheap, reliable Russian gas, the EU is driving itself out of business

Had MAGA not been a psyop, Trump could have ended the war and made a deal with Russia.
