Well, that last part is exactly what LDS teach too. We believe the words of Peter that Jesus went to preach and teach those who died without the law or knowledge of the truth of God. We believe those who have died without the law or knowledge of Christ can still receive it and be baptized. The baptism has to be done vicariously of course. Just like Paul reminded the people the reason they were performing baptisms for the dead in 1Corinthians 15:29. It's silly to think that where you are born would have anything to do with where your eternal life would reside, heaven or hell. Or, that if you are just an infant the same thing. So, I don't know why you are a harsh critic.

1. When I attended BYU, a friend from my home town came too. She made it a point to be snotty to her roommates and other because she was Catholic. The roommates went out of her way to be nice but she was a twit jerk about it. She left after the first year. I'm sure you were the one who was actually awful as you are being in here too.
2. You just lied. He did not have sexual relations of any kind with anyone under the age of 18. Even the girl who this lie extends from stated clearly many times, even after Joseph Smith's murder that they did not have sexual relations. As far as "scams" when a business that starts okay and then fails isn't the definition of a scam. Because he was the Prophet of God doesn't mean he was a good businessman. Even if he was, businesses, including banks fail for various reasons. What we do know is Joseph did everything possible to make restitution and did so. A friend of mine got caught up in a doozy of a scam 10 years ago. He thought it was all above board and got involved with the sale of it.
