Zone1 Are LDS (Mormons) Christians?

Moroni? Just where did he come from? Was he raised from the dead? Did he not come from the past? He is the one that delivered the Golden Tablets to Joseph Smith, you know, the Golden Tablets that no one has seen but Joseph Smith, a well known conman.

And please, in regards to the "levels of heaven", you seriously need to go back and reread Corinthians 15: 40-41. It doesn't come close to claiming three levels of glories, let alone three levels of heaven.

I mean did you never attend the Hill Cumorah Pageant? Come on, white people coming to North America before the birth of Christ? Did they ride on the backs of dinosaurs too? Look, I know the Mormon church has attempted to evolve, but at its core it is a racist, homophobic, misogynist cult, period.
well said!

I don't see whether Mormons are Christians is something for me to decide. Similar to the video, I see religion as more self-reflective. That's enough to deal with.

I lived around and worked with mormons, they hate if when you drink coffee, but it has a stimulant

well it's from a bean, just maybe god put it on earth and man is smart and figured out if you roast and grind them
and use hot water it makes a very tasty drink

The second most popular drink in the world behind water

they also hate you drinking coke yet they OWN stock in coke, is that not being a hypocrite?

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been around our people all my life and have never met any that actually HATE others for drinking coffee or coke. We live by a standard known as the Word of Wisdom which restricts partaking of Alcohol, Tabaco, and Caffeinated Drinks but we do not teach our people to HATE others for partaking of these things. If you meet any that actually are expressing HATRED toward people who do partake of these things, then you should call them unto repentance for HATING others. That also is against our religious beliefs.

I had a young boss who was a zeolot and would give me shit all the time for drinking coffee, he was an asshole

Well in that case, if he was your boss and you didn't want to be fired, maybe not calling him to repentance would have been the best move.

You are a very ignorant and hateful person. And, you have the gall to attack people without knowing them calling them names. It is you that is the racist cult at your core. You do realize the a large number of LDS families include homosexuals. And, the righteous still love their sinning family members. No fear you egghead.

With that said, why don't you try actually doing some real research instead of just Googling Joseph Smith, Golden Plates, Moroni and so on. There are actually real websites and podcasts you can learn real facts from. Take the Golden Plates that you say only Joseph saw them.
The Three Witnesses (Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, Martin Harris)
The Eight Witnesses (Christian Whitmer, Jacob Whitmer, Peter Whitmer Jr., John Whitmer, Hiram Page, Joseph Smith Sr., Hyrum Smith, Samuel H. Smith)
Other unofficial witnesses who saw the plates or aspects of them (Josiah Stowell, Mary Whitmer, Lucy Mack Smith, Emma Smith and others)

So, you either are just plane lazy or a liar.

1Corinthians 15:40-41, "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory."
2Corinthians 12:2-4, He mentions himself in the third person: "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven." If there's a 3rd level of heaven, then there must be level or glory 1 and 2. Revelations shows that the earth will be celestialized or the celestial kingdom of heaven, the highest or 3rd heaven. Not just Paul, but John too.

Most Indian groups descend from a mixture of two genetically divergent populations: Ancestral North Indians related to Central Asians, Middle Easterners, Caucasians and Europeans... There is the misinterpretation of who Jewish people are. LDS see Jews as members of the Tribe of Judah. The person, Lehi, in the Book of Mormon was not of Judah but of Joseph whose tribe was carried away by the Assyrians in 722 BC. Most of the people were lost and assimilated into various parts of the world. Some of Joseph managed to return to Jerusalem. So, people's like American Indians would not have the blood lines of Judah in them through Lehi of Joseph. That's why genetic testing doesn't make the connection with Jews and American Indians.

lol........I am going to call him to repentance and this young kid is going to listen to a non mormon?
sorry but that's just too funny

no, he was just an asshole who wanted to push his religion views onto me

People should worry about their own salvation. In the end we will stand before our Creator ALONE

yep, not like you get a guide, guru or mentor to hold your hand......least I don't think so, we really don't know if you can "call" on somebody like a game show

It's not being educated with respects to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a matter of wisdom, it most likely is better to avoid drinking lots of sugar related sodas that contribute to Diabetes. But, it's not in Section 89 of the Doctrine and Covenants "Word of Wisdom" section. "Coffee and tea are not specifically spelled out but have been decided by the Church leaders as being coffee and tea. While there are studies showing harmful affects, other studies show good affects in certain situations. But, that isn't the reason it's a "commandment" to abstain from them. The reason is because God commanded us to be recognizable and this does make us recognizable. To be able to enter into the House of the Lord (Temple) and ultimately the Celestial Kingdom, we need a "Temple Recommend." This requires to adhere to the commandments concerning what we take into our bodies. So, it's way more of a spiritual commandment than a physical one where the good and bad affects are debated.

maybe so and I was never a fan of soft drinks really but that's besides the point, when they try to push their drinking habits on you is when I get pissed off, don't worry what I drink

What's next, are Catholics Christians. A lot of people would say no. But the key word is "Christian" Anyone who believes in Christ is one. Whether any man made religion is real is a different question.

Check this video out and then respond to the question.

I was banned from a large "Christian" discussion forum due to my treating the Latter day Saints there as if they were my Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Yeshua - Jesus. My doing that was considered to be heretical by the moderators of that forum, [but they did me a favour by kicking me off that discussion forum, there is no point in my being a part of something where I just can't fit in very well at all].

I believe that the human beings, who identify as Latter day Saint, receive the Holy Spirit when they pray and ask for the Holy Spirit. I was amazed by the fourteen or so Latter day Saint Elders, [and Sisters], that I met since 2018 when I began to fellowship with Latter day Saints a lot. I meet so many well informed Latter day Saints online, that I felt that at minimum I should check them out to see if I could fit in or not? Latter day Saint Elders and Sisters, as well as the Brethren that I met at the local Ward pray and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit on a day to day basis, [and many Latter day Saints seem to be attempting to receive moment to moment guidance, no kidding]. I have made an effort to learn from them and pray for guidance by the Holy Spirit at least every day.

11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Luke 11]

No one is pushing anything on you. What’s your problem? You want to be a member who can enter the Temple, then you would have to choose whether to drink coffee, tea or alcohol and lose the blessings of the Temple. That’s your choice and no one else’s.

And yet you are not gaining the blessings of the Temple and Baptism. There’s no doubt you are a good person.
