Zone1 Are LDS (Mormons) Christians?

And yet you are not gaining the blessings of the Temple and Baptism. There’s no doubt you are a good person.

You are absolutely correct....
I am not, because I feel called to become closer and closer to Judaism as Paul predicted Timothy must do. I have enough on my plate theologically at this time, and I just cannot do justice to The Book of Mormon.

I haven't read any more in the Book of Mormon for a couple of years but I feel no guilt over that at all. I am reading and researching what I feel led to research.

To whatever degree I have a calling somewhat like that of Timothy, this is something that I must concentrate my time on.

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

2;Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

3;Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

4;And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
[Acts 16]

No one is pushing anything on you. What’s your problem? You want to be a member who can enter the Temple, then you would have to choose whether to drink coffee, tea or alcohol and lose the blessings of the Temple. That’s your choice and no one else’s.
haha, I am not a mormon and never would be, I am not going to enter any temple

my problem? mormons telling me what I can drink or not, as in my boss who I mentioned earlier

my neighbor was a mormon and helped me out plenty, he was a good guy but not a zealot

basically keep your religion to yourself if you can even call it that

magic tablet found in the woods in upstate NY.......yeah sure

oh and it was in code too but somebody figured it out.......hahaha

Joseph Smith was a very charismatic man and obviously one heckuva story teller.

why would they claim to be a christian when there has never been or ever will be a heavenly messiah ... they are a false religion whether christian or not by their own rhetoric.

such is the truth, what the words of the crucifiers bibles, their written text attract -

the desert dwellers than anything heavenly.

It isn't blasphemous to point out the fantastical nature of Joseph Smiths' claims which were the origin of the Mormon religion. I have known a few Mormons through work over the years and they were all very fine people.

people are gullible, people follow hamas too, does not mean it's right

you have leaders and then you have followers......

Ya I agree there are how many deluded people that follow the catholic Church and its non-Christian ways.

that is individuals not a religion.

that is individuals not a religion.

true, nothing heavenly about them.

that is bible / politics, present maga in a nut shell.

what those bible belt people have always been - disguised as religion their makebelieve self serving desert bibles.

LDS is losing more converts than it is gaining. 40% of Mormon missionaries leave the faith within two years of completing their mission. Those who don't are remaining for social reasons and not theological. LDS is bullshit, through and through, from the preposterous BoM to the temple rights and the magic underwear.

Which is not to say that there is anything wrong with Mormons, as citizens. We could use more of them. They pay their taxes, obey the law, and enlist in the Armed Forces at a relatively high rate.

No knowledgeable Christian would ever accept LDS as a "Christian" religion. Point #1: It is polytheistic. Done. End of argument.

What are you talking about? Paul only taught to believe in Jesus Christ and it's through Jesus Christ that we are saved. Judaism teaches Jesus is not the messiah nor Lord God and Savior. In fact, most of the Jews don't believe in an afterlife. My father and mother never did. Therefore, Paul would never have told Timothy that he should renounce Jesus Christ and go back to becoming a Jew. Ya, you are hugely distracted making the Gospel of Jesus Christ way more complicated than it needs to. Pick up the Book of Mormon and read it a few times from cover to cover and I mean cover.

Good point, but Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Alon Anava could be the fulfillment of the person predicted in Zechariah chapter three. The Latter day Saints that I have fellowshipped with face to face over the years seem to be the most well prepared to accept the massive calling that could be on the life of Rabbi Alon Anava?

Your boss never told you that. Liar. He may have given you reasons that soda isn't good for you but never told you to do anything. What is a magic tablet? See, this is why you actually know very little about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And, it wasn't in code, fool. It was written in reformed Egyptian. Good grief. You must be a religious zelot.

Yep, Jesus is the Messiah that Isaiah prophesied about. We are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to distinguish from the former days of the Messiah on the earth 2,000 years ago. Can't get more Christian than that.
