Zone1 How Do You Approach Faith?

Faith is trusting that a fact works. For example, scripture teaches us to place God first in our lives. Fact. Faith is trusting placing God first in life brings the desired result of a blessed life.

Well said.

For me, faith is trusting the fact that I and three of my friends have had experiences that can only be described as miraculous.

So cool you've made the Holy Spirit now subject to your own people laying on hands....I mean why not. Jesus is already a "spirit brother" of Satan and God has wives....and you'll get your own planet in heaven. With your wives.

I'm just sad for Mormons who really believe.....
You can throw stones at others, but you do little to present an inviting case for whatever it is you believe.

In fact, your approach is somewhat off-putting.

Judge away, oh ignorant one.

BTW: Let me know when you are headed to the middle east to kill muslims like so many did during the crusades. And when you'll form another church by way of a corrupt ruler who passes a law to do so. So many wonders.......

Which is wonderful.

In my world, we call those faith-promoting.

But revelation to our spirits through the Holy Ghost are what make us a the new creature.

Acts 8:18
And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

You must feel this way about the apostles' of the Bible as well.

Who laid hands on believers at the first Pentecost?

Your priests?

No, who told you Jesus and Satan were not spirit brothers?

Jesus is a component of the Triune God, see John 1:1 among so many others. He was not begat by God, or a lesser 'spirit' as Lucifer. He is Eternal.

I appreciate that, I really do. But faith is also coming to realize that so many everyday things are "miracles" set in place by God. Our bodies go on running without our will or effort; we can conceive and bear children who are both part of us and unique to us from no effort of our own. All of these are what I would call "everyday" miracles. Spring where I live, every year, seems like a miracle to me. How could the brown, "dead" earth come so alive in a few weeks? Etc, etc, etc.

5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

I don't see the word eternal in John 1:1.

Making stuff up again?

Your teachings. Jesus was just the first born son (?) Lucifer was another. So I guess Jesus is not now the 2nd person of the triune God.
The concept of the trinity was formed somewhat opaquely following the death of Christ. It really didn't take form until the council of Nicea.

The bible was officially recognized until the council of Carthage.

You still have not told us under what authority they convened the process for rejecting books that used to be considered scripture.

So, the idea certainly wasn't eternal.

Joseph Smith's teachings have just as much ground to stand on as the trinity.
