Zone1 Another question to ponder.

Not even close. It’s my relationship with God that turns on all the learning centers of my mind. It’s my relationship with God that gives me peace and joy especially in difficult times. I am becoming the best version of myself and reap those rewards now in all relationships and endeavors.
I'm glad to hear it. I must have misunderstood the part where you said after creation, he mostly just lets it be. How would that work with so many personal relationships and so many prayers? With him letting it be, are prayers a waste of time?

That is literally the beauty of it all. I can’t think of anything which glorifies God’s power more than his finely tuned and self compensating creation.

It isn’t virtuous to be forced to be virtuous. So even though we must choose to be virtuous. The universe is full of lessons that teach justice and virtue.
Back to the same flowery language that means nothing. Your remark is as relevant as "a stitch in time saves nine"

It’s shocking how poorly you understand this stuff given that you were supposedly a deacon. Prayers are for us. It puts us in a thankful state of mind, allows us to listen for guidance and alters the fabric of our identity. Or did you miss the part how we end pray with “let it be your will.”

So where you see prayer as giving God a to do list like your servant, I’m asking existence or reality or God, what is it that you want me to do for you. I almost always get that answered.

I see it exactly opposite. I’ve been proving what it is and the reasons for those beliefs. You have been arguing what it’s not.
You've proven that is what you believe. Nothing more.

Except that everything which has unfolded points to intention, intelligence, reason and purpose. And given that when viewed through the proper lens, every learning center of the mind is turned on, how can that ever be irrelevant ?

I don’t believe you would. I think the only way you will ever change is when you reach rock bottom and are forced to change.
I've been at rock bottom, and know that your beliefs offer comfort in desperate times. Too bad they're not real.

I really don't want to go through all forty-four pages but as rude as he is the OP has a point. I apologize if somebody has already answered this question, but why wait so long for Jesus to be sent into the world when clearly this world needed Him a lot sooner?

So can we expect god to consider every prayer, or is that just something we do to make ourselves feel better?

So you hate logic and reason? You hate decency?
So your version of "logic & reason" leads your to believe that I "hate decency?" No wonder you're an idiot.

Awww poor baby :itsok:
No, decency would be to reject a genocidal, jealous psychopath. If you had any logic and reasoning, you wouldnt believe in that silly crap to begin with. "faith" LOL

Why's that? You have just as much "faith" that God doesn't exist. And you have to have a ton of "faith" that nothing created everything. Now THAT's a logical conclusion, from my point of view. You certainly don't have any scientific proof that an entire universe is the product of nothing.

I dont have faith he doesnt exist. I dont believe he exists because I have read the bible. And even if he did, there is no way in hell I would devote my life to him. He is the antithesis to knowledge and decency.
I actually dont doubt many theories on the universe and our creation. Hek, I dont even doubt there wasnt a "creation" of the universe. What if it just is?
Now, obviously, most realistic things point to a big bang. Hek, what if a supreme being used the big bang to create the universe? IDK.

He IS knowledge. He's the Creator of all things therefore He's the Draftsman, Architect, and Builder. There's nothing He doesn't know. He even knows that you're an imbecile who believes that nothing created everything.

You'd have people believe that there was absolutely nothing. Then, out of nowhere, nothingness created enough energy to create a large explosion and that out of this phantom explosion enough matter to fill a universe just -- POOF -- appeared out of nowhere. Alrighty then! You either need to take your meds or you ODed on them.
