A History of Lesbianism

I don't give a flying fuck who they like to pork, I consider them people like anyone else. Your sexuality should never define you as a person as it is simply one small facet of your life.

Sexuality doesn't really define anyone. The point is that gays and lesbians have lived closeted lives for most of history. That is changing. We are being known in our truth.

What the hell does that mean? You point out famous people who are gay as opposed to all who are not and then say that your sexuality doesn't define you. You're talking out both sides of your mouth. Look, I have noting against lesbians or gays. My sister is a lesbian and my best friend is gay. But I see THEM when I look at them just like anyone else. I don't think about them as having sex with same sex people anymore than I think about hetero's having sex with the opposite sex when I'm having a conversation with them. You can't point out somebody's sexuality and then say it isn't important. You either want to be treated like everyone else or you don't.......and when you have to make a point of it publically, then you want to be treated differently.

Being out as a lesbian is a political statement. I don't usually announce it to anyone, but when someone inquires if I'm married, I fess up that I'm married to a woman.

My father did not have the freedom to live openly as a gay man.

Jeez.

It's a much briefer thang.

It's the old story.

Girl meets girl.

Girl falls in love.

Nature takes its arguably unnatural course.

And they lived happily ever after.

The end.

Yeah yeah. It's fiction.

Well, it only seems to be political to the GLBT crowd. Hetero's don't make it a point to let people know who they are having sex with. I understand that there is a certain insecurity over being "different" and wanting to be accepted by those who are not, but that isn't political.

The problem, as I see it, is that it has to be political to GLBT people. Because in order for them to live openly, they had to fight for it... and that made it political. If we could all just get the fuck over this nonsense about judging others based on anything other than their character, it wouldn't need to be political... same with race.

Didja ever notice that straight guys don't usually find lesbian porn (lipstick lesbians, that is) all that offensive?

But straight females aren't generally attracted to gay male porn from what I've heard.

Ever wonder why that is?

I have my theory.

Having made a study of some lesbian porn from time to time, I conclude it has something to do with the fact that pretty naked women are more visually appealing than any even handsome males. And males are wired VISUALLY.

But mostly, it's because women look better than men.

An interesting thing I heard is that Lesbians tend to like gay male porn, in that movie "The Kids are All Right" the 2 females were having sex watching a gay male porn video.

Ok. I'm not getting that one. It's like when two hot lipstick lesbians are getting it on but find it necessary to use a strap on.

WTF? Might as well go straight.

I also don't get that, why do Lesbians feel the need to use dildoes and strap ons that resemble a mans penis? if they prefer women, they shouldn't need a cock right?

Plenty of women don't use didoes and strap ons. My wife and I have never used them.

Really?

That's right. We don't bring the cock idea into the equation rubber or otherwise.

Oh, thats cool for you but I have seen some younger women who claim to be bisexual and Lesbian use them, their probably not really sure on their sexuality yet though they were college age.

I don't think we can come to any conclusion about the sexuality of people based on what toys they play with. When this was all new to me as a young woman, my friend, Lydia, my roommate, came to tell me that she and her GF were into SM. I guess her GF made her wear a butt plug throughout the whole meeting.

We were vanilla in those days.
