Glenn Beck Admits Lying at Rally: 'I Thought It Would Be A Little Easier'

Then why did the LT in the LAST TRUCK to cross into Kuwait state quite plainly on MSNBC that he was proud to be the last combat unit out of Iraq?
because they re-designated the ones still there

redesignated as advise and assist brigades....NOT combat brigades.

Again....if we took soldiers from a combat unit and put them into the army ping pong team and had them play in an international military ping pong tournament. they would be ping pong team members and NOT combat troops during the tournament.... isn't that correct?

a distinction you keep claiming
but what Obama said was they were removed, THAT IS A LIE
they were NOT removed

Our combat mission IS over in Iraq, and you can expect the rest of the troops to be outta there in a year.

So what did DOD do replace all combat troops with non combat troops?

Hey stupid......some battalions are designated combat units. All of those have left, I watched the troop pull out to Kuwait on MSNBC (they're the only ones to run live coverage of that).

The ones that are left are what is called "support" troops, and no, their primary mission is not combat.

Might wanna read up on the military sometime.

So the troops in Iraq were never considered combat troops?

And notice the title of the link

Combat brigades in Iraq under different name
Combat brigades in Iraq under different name - Army News | News from Afghanistan & Iraq - Army Times

And you say we have no combat troops in Iraq?

Two combat aviation brigades also remain in Iraq, according to Dan O’Boyle, Redstone Arsenal spokesman. Three more are deployed in Afghanistan, where there are currently no Advise and Assist Brigades.

wrong...all the units who still had a combat mission were removed.

combat teams renamed were not removed
btw had Obama said all combat missions were ended, that would have been accurate
saying all combat troops were removed is a lie

Hot Air Obamateurism of the Day

But did he really remove the combat brigades — or did he just change their names? Army Times says it’s the latter:

As the final convoy of the Army’s 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Lewis, Wash., entered Kuwait early Thursday, a different Stryker brigade remained in Iraq.
Soldiers from the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division are deployed in Iraq as members of an Advise and Assist Brigade, the Army’s designation for brigades selected to conduct security force assistance.
So while the “last full U.S. combat brigade” have left Iraq, just under 50,000 soldiers from specially trained heavy, infantry and Stryker brigades will stay, as well as two combat aviation brigades.

As does NPR:

You could be forgiven if you thought there were no more U.S. combat brigades in Iraq since there was so much news media coverage earlier in the week about the “last combat brigade” exiting the Arab nation.
But as it turns out, there actually are still combat brigades there. They’ve just been renamed.
As journalists at NPR and elsewhere have repeatedly noted, there still are thousands of U.S. combat troops in Iraq.
Not only combat troops, however, but combat brigades. They’ve just gone under something of an Orwellian name change.

All he had to say was I laid my eyes on the original.

it isnt his first lie or his last one

stfu, you voted for an asshole who lies every time his lips move. don't get so sanctimonious on us.

Even better, truthmatters is the only poster I know of who has actually stated that she 'hates republicans'. What a very charmingly tolerant defender of minorities she is.

from your own link:

a number of Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs), which have been the basic U.S. Army combat unit in Iraq for six years, will remain in Iraq after that date under a new non-combat label.
again, relabeled is not REMOVED

if you relabel 'em, you don't need to remove 'em!

American combat troops are gone from Iraq. There may be some that are staying that USED to be combat troops, but they aren't combat troops any longer. ALL the combat troops have been removed.

I found this from that link.

Gates tells the truth and no body listen

Gates has hinted that the withdrawal of combat brigades will be accomplished through an administrative sleight of hand rather than by actually withdrawing all the combat brigade teams. Appearing on Meet the Press Mar. 1, Gates said the "transition force" would have "a very different kind of mission", and that the units remaining in Iraq "will be characterised differently".

not a lie....just an unfounded accusation by a partisan hack who only has his semantic interpretation - which others do not share - to bolster that unfounded accusation.

I agree. those remaining are NOT combat troops. All the troops whose mission is still COMBAT have been sent home.
