I watched her special on 20/20 I guess she has to decide by May if she is well enough to run. I am really pulling for her. I know she is not a rep but I really hope she gets her miracle and she is well enough to run in May. She has come a long way.:clap2: Her husband is fantastic he took his vows like your supposed too. In sickness and in health.

Good post. I don't think she'll be ready by this may. But I could see her running again down the road. The irony is she's a blue dog democrat.

edit: And yeah her husband really did take his vows seriously, guy has some class.

Hell yeah he does!
What an awesome couple they are...he stood by her every step of the way, and he looks at her as if he just fell in love...what a wonderful thing, for them to have each other.
I wish all of us could be so lucky to have true loves like that.
Well....I know some of y'all do....but, these 2.....they have it going on. I am happy she is making wonderful progress!

I saw that so clearly. Class act indeed! That's why humanity is amazing. Pull aside all the fog and covers over humanity and the best of it shines through.

Gabby Gifford should simply retire. It would be in her best interest and in the best interest of the people who elected her to serve.

Maybe the strive to be in the race is a great motivator for her. Anything to make her well again I am for even though I would not vote for her ( cant any way dont live in AZ)

It's remarkable what she has accomplished. A very tough lady and a wonderful husband who stuck with her. Good for them both. As far as running for her seat again, I think she will have the integrity to only run if she is capable of doing the job properly.

75 year old Pima Co. sheriff Dupnik who insulted the people of Arizona calling them bigots and made a fool out of himself blaming talk radio for the tragic shooting faces re-election next year if the recall movement doesn't get him first.

Maybe Mark will run, he's pretty political. I don't see her getting back in, love her and hope she comes back 100% but she isn't there yet.

Then the right wing terrorist who shot her would be closer to getting his way.... better chance for a Republican to win the seat.

Rightwing terrorist? Does all of Spain raise buffoons such as yourself, or are you just a nut?

I'm glad that prayers were answered for the recovery of Gabby. It just shows that miracles still do happen.

A post from yet another left wing euro who can't find a forum in his own socialist country and wants to meddle in US affairs? The fact that there is little coverage about the assassin in the left wing media indicates that he was most likely a radical insane leftie who thought Giffords was too moderate.

Ummmm, you need to check your facts there Fernando. The shooter was a leftwing anarchist at worst and simply insane at best.

If he did it for political reasons-he wouldn't have gone after a blue dog Democrat.

edit: Even Mark Kelly himself said he thinks the guy had severe mental illness, and that was the reason why it happened. If Mark Kelly doesn't paint him as a rightwing terrorist-that's good enough for me.

to come as far as she has ...shows she knows no limits...

sad that people even mention her political party.....we are all humans first.....

You are entirely correct, strollingbones. I applaud her courage and her will to fight to survive when many in her position would have simply rolled over and gave up. I have no love for Democrats but in the same breath, we should not be out there shooting our elected officials. That's simply insane. Why her political affilation is even an issue is beyond reason. She deserves all the care and rehab that will make her whole again and her State deserves a fully functional representative.

Right wing terrorist? Idiot.

I hope Giffords makes a full recovery. I'm glad she has something to aim for (oops, does saying 'aim for' make me a right wing terrorist?)

I do find it odd that so many people are high fiving her husband just for taking his marriage vows seriously. It never occurred to me that he might not.

Gabby Giffords has made outstanding strides over the past few months, and I feel like she will continue to do so, hopefully being well enough to run for re-election.

And yeah..........her husband is a class act. Caught him on Jon Stewart and Lawrence O'donnell last night. Did you guys know that on his last shuttle mission, he took her ring into space with him?

That's love on a celestial scale.

:clap2:

Her husband is doing what any decent hubby should do... Never crossed my mind to pat him on the back.

As for the rightwing comment.... I wonder if she has been told what the "right" and Sarah Palin was accused of, and how she feels about it.
