I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the same thing that was a major dynamic in the past election will continue to be one throughout these 4 years and into the next election season.
Grocery prices. Whoever is an office is going to take the brunt of the blame for the grocery bill that people have to experience week in and week out. If something isn't done about that within the next 24 months it will begin to cut into Trump's approval rating like nothing else will.

There are many potential pitfalls that could cause trouble for trump

But the economy, including inflation, is a big one

I hope trump has a plan to deal with grocery prices

Only if this administration and Vance does well and looks favourable over the four years. I wouldn't like to guess how that pans out because despite most things Trump says are right, it's his mouth that lets him down.

If nominated folk delivered Trump's messages and policies, and Trump just shut up and worked in the background, I would put money on Vance running and doing well.

JD is the most erudite politician to rise to that level in the past 70 to 100 years. The last person whose mind was that sharp was Eisenhower. Bill Clinton was very intelligent too even if he was a perv.

Nixon was underrated as far as intelligence....

Other than that the general knowledge base and communicative intellect of the rest of the POTUS people amounts to what you might find in a bar room urinal. I have often made this complaint.

You seem to be equating "erudite" with intelligent. In terms of being able to explain any of his policy decisions in real time, President Trump has no peer. Otherwise, I agree with your assessments.
