Rubio Backs Vance in 2028

The rich are already taxed, simply taxing them more won't do much more - as they are already in bed with the government. The idea of raising taxes on the "rich" is a common one, but in practice, it doesn't do much. I am however in favor of budget cuts for the military, and ending most foreign aid.
I'm iffy on the military cuts [but not a deal breaker for me] but everything else is spot on from my perspective

I'll try to remain on topic here. Rubio and Vance are too establishmentarian for me. The reason why Trump appealed to me so much was that he was the outsider. Those two are insiders. They just don't have the same appeal to me, that Trump did in the past.

This would be the best ticket, akin to George Bush Sr. following Reagan as V.P and then president.

Reagan was the original MAGA, which Vance is, while GHWB was more of the Establishment, which Rubio is.

It greatly helped George Bush Sr. in his run in 1992 to have been V.P under Reagan. If not for Ross Perot, Bush wins his second term almost certainly. Perot was extremely critical of NAFTA and won an astounding 19% of the popular vote.

If Trump can promote MAGA again and care about his legacy as a fighter for America, he can set the GOP up for potentially 16 years of rule.

The key has been and remains Independents. This is where I feel he has lost the most ground after working so hard to take a chunk of Obama voters.

Reagan was an outsider. So is Trump. Trump is being viewed increasingly like an insider. That is bad news for GOP in a general election and good news for an AOC or others who appear to be an outsider of sorts (though she is clearly one wanting to be an Establishment repeater of talking points).
WTF?!!

You know Reagan never wanted HW anywhere near him! Knew he was an evil scumbag

Neither Rubio nor Vance ‘28!

The Country needs a candidate who will govern as Trump campaigned

This has been my entire point all across the board really. Build that wall. Deport illegals. End foreign wars. Cut taxes, lower the cost of living, bring our troops home, build up American energy by ending restrictions on fracking, arrest the Biden Regime officials, hold people accountable. Walk the talk.

I voted Republican all down the ballot. Lesser of two evils for me, but that doesn't mean I am happy about it.
If you believe what Democrats have to offer is more evil than what you are seeing, I can only shake my head. You wee warned this would happen, yet you still vote for what fits every definition of fascism.

Rubio is worth the look to me, but I have never been a fan of trump, even long before his foray into politics...I'm a democrat with a mean streak toward white liberals, for me trump is just the distasteful medicine they deserve and brought upon themselves and that is the lone part of trump I revel in.

I don't know who I would want in '28. Certainly not Vance or Rubio. Someone who is more extreme than either of them, even more on the "outsider" aspect.
I like Massie and Rand Paul’s ideas

When I thought Trump was for real, I said he’d need someone like Franzese as AG to carry out his agenda

Maybe Col Douglas MacGregor?

Real reform might ultimately require We the People partying like it’s 1775

I am very much in favor of outsider constitutionalists and libertarians. I don’t see much difference between mainstream Republicans and Democrats. Democrats just seem to want war and destruction as well - just with the added annoyance of Rainbow flags and Gender ideology.

What party is electing socialists/communists in the large blue cities as mayors? :smoke:
