Zone1 What would Jesus do about the GOP plan?

James Talarico last week asked 4 simple questions to answer about what Jesus would do that are thought provoking. What are your thoughts on these answers?

  1. What would Jesus do about a tax system that favors the rich over the poor?
  2. What would Jesus do about a Healthcare system that forces the sick to start gofundme pages?
  3. What would Jesus do about an Education system that tied a community’s education to it property wealth?
  4. What would Jesus do about an Economic system that prioritizes profits over the health of our planet?
I don’t think he would approve of the GOP plan on any of those. What about you?

  • What would Jesus do about a tax system that favors the rich over the poor? He already answered this question. Render to Caeser what is Caesars. Of course, your premise is that the less money taken from the rich will mean less money going to the poor, which is completely false. Government spending is not predicated on revenue coming in, hence the trillion-dollar deficits.
  • What would Jesus do about a Healthcare system that forces the sick to start gofundme pages? The Left wants government to take over all health care, and then they talk about how they will save sooooo much money when they do. In fact, the only time government seems to be concerned with spending tax dollars, is when it comes to our health care. Funny that. And no doubt, they will cut care like they have at your local VA as we read scandal after government scandal about how the VA is not funded properly.
  • What would Jesus do about an Education system that tied a community’s education to it property wealth? I'm guessing that Jesus would not want these children indoctrinated with the gender cult, which has caused gender confusion to rise 4000% in children in these schools. I would also gather he would not want these children being forced into poor school districts just because they are poor, because those poor school districts have a knack of not providing a good education system, and would rather the parents have the option of vouchers so they can go to school with the "rich" kids.
  • What would Jesus do about an Economic system that prioritizes profits over the health of our planet? Jesus had the same issue during his day. So, what did Jesus do about it genius? Did he run for office? Did he take over a government? Did he raise an army? In fact, Jesus performed a miracle of the bread and fish to feed a multitude of people and they wanted to make him their earthly king, yet he turned it down. Why?
You really are a retard, aren't you?

I think if Jesus were to take political sides he would have already cast Biden's and Pelosi's spirits into a herd of swine and be done with it all.

Please refer to the Bible verse where Jesus said, "To feed the poor and provide health care, give more money to the government"

I'll wait

You're funny. Jesus was all over the issues of the day being a change agent. He stood against tribalism, racism, sexism, oppression and injustice. He would not use word games to avoid the fact that cutting taxes for the rich leads to more wealthy people and worse care for the poor. Jesus would not be concerned with how much the government was involved in supplying healthcare to people. Jesus would not be fooled into thinking that schools teach math, reading, writing and being gay. That is nonsense. Finally all you are saying is that Jesus didnt try to become a political King, no shit. However, we all know where he'd come down on in American policy and it isnt the side that wants to kill AIDE to the needy

There is nothing stopping Christians from pulling the people out of poverty and providing medical care to the uninsured today. Why isn’t it working? You are suggesting that in a world where the faithful can’t take care of those who fall through the cracks that if we get rid whole system with cracks that it will suddenly take care of all of them? You crack me up.

It isn't working in large part because DC is full of grift and corruption, and it eats up entirely too much of our tax money.

What would Jesus say about THAT?

I can guess what kind of church you go to (if you go) and I can guess they don't spend much time in actual Scripture right?

Jesus could be both very tolerant and very harsh. Remember, He called a woman a "dog" because she wasn't Jewish and He wasn't sent for them. That's tribal. And it's okay.

You diminish the very Son of God when you try to imply that He would align with all your earthly political beliefs. It's insulting actually

He might say the part of help to the needed that is grifted to companies is bad. Pretty sure. What do you think? I doubt he'd say screw the poor we cant get help to them because some falls through the cracks. Maybe, but I doubt it.

How does it diminish Jesus to try and figure out how He would lean based on the writings of His life and words? It is actually all we do in modern times which is contemplate WWJD.

Jesus never looked at the oppressed and said, they arent working hard enough, they are welfare queens, immigrants are criminals.

As I said and you ignored: He would almost certainly not align with all your political beliefs, nor mine. We are flawed people living in a flawed system. But I'm almost positive you do not believe that He was born, died, rose into Heaven, sits at the right hand of Father, and will return to judge the living and the dead.

You treat Him as if He were a Great Teacher. Those who do this are very prone to reduce Him to a political prop for their chosen politics.

What a shame. So close....but so very, very far

Governments have to make those decisions, not religious leaders.

We don't want your theocracy.

How would you have any idea what my relationship is with Jesus? You are a typical Christian, skin deep of faith but full of the judgement of others. I know you cant reconcile your political beliefs with being a follower of Christ which is why I made this thread. I can.

Again he would say it looks like the Roman Empire never fell.
Then he would say, time is up. "Tie up the tares in bundles for burning, then gather the wheat into my barn."

Then there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth as the scarlet beast that sits upon seven hills dies in anguish.

Gator is a Leftist, and as such, does not believe in a God.

He has no real interest in Jesus other than trying to leverage him to get votes for his sociopathic Marxist politicians that care nothing about the poor. All they do is virtue signal.

Just look at the heart of Marxist America, which is California, to see that. They all vote "D" and all you have now is the extreme poor and extreme rich. You exponentially growing numbers of homeless people like Bezos hiding behind gated communities as both the rich and poor in California continue to vote "D" every election cycle

Pathetic.

Everyone else is leaving the state. This is Gators utopia for the country and will no doubt vote for Newsome for President in the near future.

Never forget the mandate by Karl Marx to destroy the middle class.

Democrats have done that by in large.

Currently there is only the illusion of a separation between church and state, dimwit.
Really?

So, a country that forbids kids to read the Bible in public schools and instead teaches them the virtues of the LGTB philosophy is a country that is a theocracy?

I wonder if the kids are being pulled out of class to protest guns or climate change once again.

And you call him a dimwit?
