Zone1 What would Jesus do about the GOP plan?

They need to pick a lane. Do they want religion in government or do they want to keep religion out of government?

Or they can just continue to be hypocrites.
Guess one they will pick? :laughing0301:

You skipped past what I wrote:

strong, independent people who can take care of themselves and each other
You seem to think that everybody who has a problem, medical or otherwise, is just a bad person, and has earned and deserves their misfortune as well as your distain. I see no further need to discuss anything with such a hateful hypocrite. If your attitude is based on your religion, then your religion is disgusting.

The hypocrisy is yours. You complain about keeping religion out of government and now you are arguing religion should be brought into government. How am I being hypocritical?
Pointing out your inability to maintain your own stated standards is not hypocrisy on my part. You advocate your religion being brought into our government, but only the parts you like.

Far from it. Remember the adage that someone who reaches a conclusion is the point where they have stopped thinking? Your above statement demonstrates a complete lack of thought.

I happen to believe anyone who has a problem deserves not a bureaucrat, but a caring person in his/her own community. I also believe each person in the community needs to be aware they are needed by others in the community. Have you ever lived in a small town?

I don't believe big government is the answer to everything that ails us. I believe caring people are.

I never said we need religion in government. I said what would Jesus prefer in policy. You skanks are just avoiding the obvious answers.

Stop using Jesus to justify your ideology and political and societal wants....
My ideology is good whether Jesus was the Savior or is just some story. What’s interesting is these pseudo Christians who use religion for convenience.

I am pretty sure Jesus would despise MAGA republicans like he did the Pharisees.

Then why use Jesus and his word as your argument?....

It was a question about how you can support policy that is diametrically opposed to Jesus' teachings if you are Christian. They want to argue about abortion all day long, which Jesus never spoke about, but they want nothing to do with how he directed us to treat each other.

You are speaking gibberish and lying.

I don’t want religion in government. You complain people want religion in government and then argue politicians should put their religion in government. You are a hypocrite. I am not.

Jesus wasn’t a politician. And yes you are complaining that politicians aren’t putting their religion into government.

I’m a skank? Clearly I have struck a nerve. The truth usually hurts before it helps.

Then you need to tell all those other cult members to STFU about abortion gay rights, the ten commandments in every classroom, and a host of other religion based bullshit.

It’s a secular government and everyone has free speech. Everyone gets a say in the matter. That’s how our government works. You want to squelch free speech?

Again, just look at the public schools to see who controls things. You can't even put a manger scene on school property without the Left going bat shit crazy and tearing it down, meanwhile, a teen can obtain an abortion and/or sex change with virtually little to no support from their parents even though the same kid can't get so much as an aspirin from a school nurse without their parents approval.

The Left is destroying the nation.

You pick and choose the words and deeds of Jesus all to try and win an argument.... you suck.... and you are disingenuous as hell....

Jesus said "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's".

Wrong.
Jesus supported family values and good government.

As for the Pharisees, morals matter:
"Jesus elaborates on their hypocrisy in the fifth woe. He tells the religious leaders they appear clean on the outside, but they have neglected the inside. They perform religious acts but do not have God-honoring hearts. It does no good, Jesus says, to clean up the outside when the inside is “full of greed and self-indulgence” (Matthew 23:25). The Pharisees and scribes are blind and do not recognize that, when the inside is changed, the outside, too, will be transformed."

I do have an issue with hypocrites who claim to be Christian then show the compassion of Satan.
How do you view Jesus? Is Jesus a hypocrite too? Did he end poverty? In fact, what was he said about the poor? Was it there will always be the poor?
