They run a huge deficit, so I don't know where you're getting this big profit from. It doesn't even cover operating costs, and again no evidence their investment properties are 'tax exempt' here in the US; that's because they aren't. Even empty land owned by a church next to its buildings isn't tax exempt., until they use it for church purposes, i.e. they build church buildings on it or add a parking lot.

Oh yes, I just showed you the handouts. How are the churches going to pay when tax exemption is removed? Where is the money going to come from? Those are question to be answered.

Why do you keep up with this accusation of 'church hate'? Why is it 'hate' to expect churches to pay their fair share of the taxes? Where do churches get the idea that they deserve a tax exemption? Where is 'separation of church and state' when the state gives a tax exemption to the churches? These too are questions for you to answer.

No, you didn't, you just made some weird fantasy, is all. The rest is just sniveling. The stats and FEds don't give tax exemptions to churches. they can't make such laws. They just regulate tax deductions for donors who give to them same as any other charity is all. Churches don't have to file any incorporation papers of any kind. You don't seem to get it. They are treated like 501.3c's as the IRS's guidelines, not because the churches have to register as one. The Catholic Charities do so as a separate entity from the Church admin itself.

Some might say getting into a public feud with the Pope is not exactly a good idea. This headline gave me pause though, because even though I have pretty much abandoned trying to elucidate the many reasons that Trump and his presidency are problematic, what does Trump hope to gain or what point is he trying to make by retaliating against Catholic organizations, particularly charities, by taking away their funds/funding? Could it simply be that in Trump's world, he perceives the loss of money, whether it's taken outright or the funding source is cut off, as the worst thing that could possibly happen to a person, organization, etc.? If, in his world, this is what he considers the absolute worse, then in a way some of the things he does sort of make sense but many of them still seem like nothing more than a shakedown, but I digress.

Does anyone think he's doing this simply to get back at the Pope due to his criticism of Trump? Remember, Vance has for several days now, been doing damage control and it seems like trying to mediate the tension between the two, but I get the impression that the only party that is miffed is Trump.

Trump has been cancelling charity giveaways everywhere for a long time, there is no proof that his cancelling this charity has anything to do with the big mouth Leo.

This country is just bleeding cash left and right and it turns out much of it is fraud. If the Catholics feel he is in the wrong, all they need to do is sue the Fed and open their books and make the case they were wrongly defunded and that the American taxpayer OWES this money to the church so they can help more illegals migrate here.

Sad fact is that if we didn't have the immigration problem, we likely wouldn't have this immigrant unaccompanied minor problem neither. The other problem is that Leo has made clear that the Catholic church is now a global architect for advocating mass immigration, illegal or legal.

Here's an idea: send the bill for all these unaccompanied kids to Joe Biden: he let them in.
