Trump tells CNBC: ā€˜I don’t care’ if Iran negotiations are over

President Donald Trump on Monday shrugged off the possible collapse of peace negotiations with Iran, telling CNBC, ā€œI don’t care if they’re over, honestly.ā€

ā€œI really don’t care. I couldn’t care less,ā€ Trump told CNBC’s Eamon Javers in a phone interview midday Monday, saying he thought the protracted talks ā€œstarted to get very boring.ā€

Trump had been asked about reporting that Iranian negotiators will stop communications with the U.S., and that Tehran will move to ā€œcompletely blockā€ the Strait of Hormuz, due to Israel’s military operations in Lebanon against the Iran-backed militia Hezbollah.

The domestic politics of this are horrible. Don has effectively said he'd rather spend time on the ballroom and the slush fund rather than solve the biggest dilemma facing the world. One of his and Bibi's creation. For Bibi's part he's happy to keep attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon regardless if Iran made it a condition of any extended ceasefire agreement.

It seems he may be in denial about what happens next. Namely, derivative products made from oil go higher. Like diesel fuel and gas. The price of products transported by trucks goes higher. Inflation goes higher. Europe and Asia, already on the brink of using up their reserve supplies of oil, enter a crisis. And Don doesn't care? How about doing your job and fixing the damn problem!

Like a child, he pretends not to care when he can't control what is happening.

He does pretty much everything like a child.

It's all about him. It's always all about him.
Agreed. But for now we are stuck with a child, surrounded by people too afraid to tell him he's acting like a child, running the country.

Not that things haven't already gotten very, very ugly but lower/middle income people are really going to get hurt if he keeps up this tantrum of holding his breath. He seems to be paralyzed. So what next? Put the blame of his aides? That still doesn't solve the problem.

The international community should not allow Iran to do this.

What is wrong with them?

It is akin to Iran leashing out and attacking all its neighboring countries other than the US and Israel.

He has to somehow be convinced that he can spin humiliation into a win. So he'd just need to delude himself into it somehow. Obviously he's pretty good at that.

It would be great if he had even a teaspoon of knowledge of the Middle East. Iran is going to drag this out for as long as they think they can. They want their pound of flesh.

Who knows if anyone has his ear right now.

I bought a round trip ticket to Portugal a couple weeks ago. Over 800 dollars. Before the fat **** started bombing Iran, it was a tad over 500.
300 dollars higher, and it is solely his and bibis fault.
Fuuuuuuck both of them.
