Trump tells CNBC: āI donāt careā if Iran negotiations are over
President Donald Trump on Monday shrugged off the possible collapse of peace negotiations with Iran, telling CNBC, āI donāt care if theyāre over, honestly.āāI really donāt care. I couldnāt care less,ā Trump told CNBCās Eamon Javers in a phone interview midday Monday, saying he thought the protracted talks āstarted to get very boring.ā
Trump had been asked about reporting that Iranian negotiators will stop communications with the U.S., and that Tehran will move to ācompletely blockā the Strait of Hormuz, due to Israelās military operations in Lebanon against the Iran-backed militia Hezbollah.
Trump tells CNBC: 'I don't care' if Iran negotiations are over
President Trump spoke with CNBC's Eamon Javers about the latest with the Iran war in an interview Monday.
The domestic politics of this are horrible. Don has effectively said he'd rather spend time on the ballroom and the slush fund rather than solve the biggest dilemma facing the world. One of his and Bibi's creation. For Bibi's part he's happy to keep attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon regardless if Iran made it a condition of any extended ceasefire agreement.
It seems he may be in denial about what happens next. Namely, derivative products made from oil go higher. Like diesel fuel and gas. The price of products transported by trucks goes higher. Inflation goes higher. Europe and Asia, already on the brink of using up their reserve supplies of oil, enter a crisis. And Don doesn't care? How about doing your job and fixing the damn problem!
