There is neither a Rapture
(I defy you to find the word RAPTURE in the Bible) or a 7 year tribulation mentioned in the Bible in anything other than symbolism found in the Book of Revelation, which cannot be taken literally).....you are misquoting Matthew 24:9, as Jesus is informing His disciples about the fall of Jerusalem which fell in 70AD just as prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 23:24 as He informs the Jewish leaders they will pay for their criminal actions against the prophets of God in that VERY GENERATION, not 2000 years in the future.
If these passages are referencing the 2000s ..........where is the Temple that is to fall leaving not one stone unturned...or did Jesus Lie?
Read Matthew 24 in context........from Matthew 24:1 thru Matthew 24:36, Jesus is addressing the fall of the Temple and Jerusalem......and concludes as much when "once again" He states, clearly with no ambiguity......."THIS GENERATION (the 1st century) SHALL NOT PASS UNTIL THESE THINGS ARE FULFILLED." What things? All the signs Jesus was telling that would lead up to the fall of Jerusalem.....and history records that during that century..;..1 A.D. there were numerous earthquakes, eclipses in the sky.....while the Jews fled in fear from Israel to be scattered around the globe from the 70s forward in the 1st century. The Temple was destroyed just as prophesied by Jesus and Daniel......it does not stand today, and it will never be rebuilt without the consent of both the Muslims and Jews.
Just what do you assume Jesus was referencing when He stated, "When YOU (his disciples in the 1st century) see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel, stand in the holy place....let him whoso readeth, let him understand....let them which are in Judaea flee into the mountains."" -- Matthew 24:15-16 Unless you were a disciple of Christ in the 1st century....Jesus was not addressing you personally.
Notice how Jesus declares in Matthew 24:35, He begins to speak about when the earth shall pass away....but His words shall not pass away........He then begins telling His disciples "But of THAT DAY (what day? the day the earth shall pass away, not to be compared with the text leading up to the fall of Jerusalem because JESUS knew this would take place in that very generation and warned those who would listen.....but OF THAT DAY AND HOUR, knoweth no man (Jesus was the Son of Man as well as the Son of God), no not the angels of heaven.........but MY FATHER ONLY." -- Matthew 24:35-51 goes on to discuss the judgment of God on that day....which will come without WARNING, when everyone is not looking for it. (Matthew 24:50)
But clearly your cult knows what The Son of God did not know.........you are privy to information that only the Father knows?
