And four years after Haggai and Zechariah had arrived on the scene, the temple was finished. (Ezra 6:15) (Haggai 1:1) It is then dedicated. Priests and Levites are set up in their ministries. (Ezra 6:15-18) Passover and feasts are observed again. (Ezra 6:19-22)

This is the Second Temple, the First Temple being Solomon's. Herod would later add to this Second Temple, completely rebuilding it. But it was still called the Second Temple or Herod's Temple. Jesus called it His Father's house. (John 2:16). In 70 A.D. it was completely destroyed by the Romans.

There will be a Third Temple built in the future when the anti-christ allows the Jews to rebuild it. This will be the Tribulation period, making it the Tribulation Temple. And yet another future Temple remains to be built which is the Millennial Temple. The mass destruction that takes place during the Tribulation and at the Second Coming of Christ will no doubt destroy the Tribulation Temple and make way for the Millennial Temple to built. See (Ezekiel 40-48)

Makes one wonder why God, Ezra or Zerubbabel, or Haggai or Zechariah, didn't refer to (Ezekiel 40-48) when building the 2nd Temple. They had to have known of it. It just wasn't time.

The language and writing is kind of childish and not up to pre-Ezra standards. I think they're fakes written to legitimize the Babylonian scam for the most part.
