A difference of opinion isnt a correction in fact my intrpretations of Genesis is supported by the Orthodox Rabbis who study it daily These are their interpretations not just mine. I also supported my posotion quite well.
There is no original sin fall of man hell or devil in Genesis. Feel free to prove there is.
The rabbis explain this is the moral teaching of man by God(that cant be a sin) and then the trial for mans freedom only when Adam admits his act which he does then he evolves into a human being and leaves Eden to create civilization.
I am not talking about different interpretations. Everyone should be able to delight in sharing their own understanding/interpretation/perspective without the need to bash another faith. If you believe God was, in fact, urging Adam and Eve to disobey his command to understand they had the freedom to obey or disobey, that's your belief.
If other faiths view Adam and Eve as metaphors for the human
condition, who are you to turn it into mankind inheriting guilt? In Catholicism, baptism is a sign of turning away from the ways of mankind and turning to the ways of God. My
personal opinion is that Adam and Eve represent each person. For example, if the choice were mine, would I want to know both good and evil, and learn, like God does, to bring good from evil. I believe almost all humans would make that choice. However, as a Catholic I believe that both Mary and Jesus placed their highest choice on obedience to God. In the early Christian church, obedience was give a very high priority, to choose what is holy. And that's a struggle, although one I believe is worth struggling for.
In other words, I feel blessed when others present their beliefs--and bashed when a non-Christian deliberately misstates and then bashes my beliefs. Present your beliefs without lying about the beliefs of others. And after having explained this to you numerous times now, I consider you a deliberate liar and a false witness when it comes to your presentations of Christians beliefs. If you lie about the beliefs of others, I'll continue to wonder what other lies you are telling. It's hard for me to trust anything you say.
