TED CRUZ: I’m PROUD to stand with Gov. Mike Pence!

What ever happened to protecting religious freedom?

If we don't protect a person's religious freedom do we get to walk into a delicatessen or a halal store and demand that we are served pork?

Serious question. Because just because pork is against a Jew or Muslim's religious dietary belief it isn't against my Christian faith.

So a deli owner or a halal store would be discriminating against me would they not?

What a stupid analogy.......try again

No it's not. Not at all. I've been listening to lawyers wall to wall rather than coming in and watching the hysteria on the boards. Shit people should freaking chill out.

But everyone's acting like Richard Simmons on meth. The hysteria is insane and I believe is entirely manufactured at this point and being driven by the media.
Bad analogy:
It's discrimination if businesses that DON'T make a product in the first place refuse to make it for a particular group of customers.

Good analogy:
It's discrimination if businesses that DO make a product refuse to make it for a particular group of customers.

Well Alllll righty then. Looks like the solution has been established.

There's the plan, now work that plan.

Pence created a pile of shit and is now blaming liberals and the media for pointing it out

Ok... SO we have one person who is for Homosexual attacking and destroying the lives of Christians.

Anyone else for that?

(In case I failed to get the point across, I'm against any law that allows or otherwise provides for the means by homosexuals to destroy the lives of Christians who stand up and state in unapologetic terms that Homosexuality is a mental disorder which should not be encouraged, as it destroys individuals and the the culture it infects.)
We're like the lions in the Colliseum.....RAWR!

Guess Pence missed the sign and wants something like a future in politics back.
Add to a law that didn't need to be there in the first place. Tell us again that the Republicans are for lesser government.........

If having to treat gays fairly destroys your life, because of your religion, maybe you should re-evaluate the religion you've chosen,

or at least the version of your religion that some humans have invented.

IN Speaker of the House says that legislation will immediately be created to "specifically" make sure the law does not allow discrimination against the LGBT community.

Keys fails to understand that it is he and his small group of comrades that are in the small minority.

Such laws put the defenders out front in spotlights.

That will only hurt Cruz and the haters nationally and in all of the purple and blue and in some of the red states.

It helps Cruz....he is in the Clown Car anyway

But it hurts Bush and Walker who are forced to take sides on an issue they wish would just go away

bush is already on the hook too... fyi

Poor analogy.

It wouldn't be discrimination for an establishment to not have a particular item on a menu. You want pork? Then don't go to a place that doesn't have pork.

It would be discriminatory if an establishment refused to serve a customer simply because they don't like the way they look, or because of some perceived lifestyle.

Yes... it would be discrimination. Much as one would discriminate against the turd bobbing, noxious water despite severe dehydration. It's the same thing that allow one to seek the overpass instead of crossing directly across the freeway.

It's a natural and essential function all viable life.

You make it seem like a bad thing.
Uhh no. Try again. Go get your pork elsewhere. No establishment is required to sell every type of meat or food. Utterly ridiculous.

TED CRUZ: I’m PROUD to stand with Gov. Mike Pence!
TheRightScoop ^ | 3/30/2015 | Right Scoop

Unlike Scott Walker and more emphatic than Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz enthusiastically supports Gov. Mike Pence and urges all Americans to do the same:

HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following statement today in support of Governor Mike Pence’s effort to defend religious liberty and protect against the government forcing individuals to violate their deeply held beliefs:

“I want to commend Governor Mike Pence for his support of religious freedom, especially in the face of fierce opposition. There was a time, not too long ago, when defending religious liberty enjoyed strong bipartisan support. Alas, today we are facing a concerted assault on the First Amendment, on the right of every American to seek out and worship God according to the dictates of his or her conscience. Governor Pence is holding the line to protect religious liberty in the Hoosier State. Indiana is giving voice to millions of courageous conservatives across this country who are deeply concerned about the ongoing attacks upon our personal liberties. I’m proud to stand with Mike, and I urge Americans to do the same.”

BOOM! No compromise. No fear.

Ted cruz is the anti-***!

Wow, I bet that endorsement really pleased Pence. Maybe David Duke will join in on the fun?

LOL!

Uh oh... it seems we've stumbled into an unanticipated bout of reticence.

Come on now... stand up for what ya believe kids...

We know the would-be "Rightwinger" is FOR

homosexuals being legally capable of destroying the lives of Christians

who disagree with the Advocacy to Normalize Sexual Abnormality...

Who stands with it?

"destroying the lives of Christians"

aww how dramatic..does your life feel utterly destroyed?? LOL! indeed... :crybaby:

riddle me this, mister "CHRISTIAN"...........WHAT WOULD JESUS DO...........?

'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'

so let's just assume your CHRISTIAN 'religion' demands that you see others as 'less than' you... (?)

even Jesus Christ himself wouldn't discriminate! true story!

besides that fact, einstein... gay people exist as equal citizens of our country, just the same as you and me.

Fellow Christians, you can certainly live in America with everybody else having the same rights.

Believe what you want, worship as you wish, and understand you cannot tell or force or shame others how to live or not live. It's not your decision, not your power anymore.

Ok! So we have two Contributors who feel that tolerance of the normalization of sexual abnormality, presenting from a mental disorder, is paramount... standing above the rights of anyone who feels others to so feel and subsequently contest.

So we have two qualified fascists for CERTAIN on the board here... WHO ELSE?

Not sure what you're going for there... in that I am not advocating that everyone must sell all forms of meat.

My position is I sell whatever I want to sell to whom ever I want... and anyone who claims I must sell X to Y, can kiss my American Ass... with a "**** YOU!" bonus.

Suffice it to say, I'm a proponent of discrimination and, I do so often and always based upon sound reason... FWIW: over the years, the only time I've ever had a problem in my life has come as a consequence of my failure to ADEQUATELY DISCRIMINATE... .

I hope that helps.

Kosher delis don't stock pork. Demanding pork at a kosher deli is like demanding 6 carat diamonds at a WalMart 'jewelry' counter.

The issue is; should vendors who offer good to heterosexuals be permitted to deny those EXACT SAME GOODS to homosexual customers.

Keys is pretending to be an authority again: he is certainly anti-Christian.
