Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Donald Trump’s top adviser on matters related to the coronavirus, said in a January interview that the virus was “not a major threat” to the U.S.

Boldfaced lie. Tariffs are ALWAYS paid by the importing US company when the item arrives and for the most part added to the price that small buinsesses pay for the good or product. You should know this already.

American tariffs are on FOREIGN GOODS coming into the country. The consumer doesn't pay that.

As stated above the importing US company passes the extra cost of the tariff, thus Americans do in fact pay for all tariffs, NOT any foreign company. Trump lied about that.

A tariff is a specific type of expense imposed on imported or exported goods, primarily designed to protect domestic industries from foreign competition and regulate trade, whereas a tax is a broad, mandatory fee on individuals or businesses for government revenue. Tariffs are paid at the border, while taxes are paid on domestic goods, income, or services.

Tariffs are not for gov't revenue. Just because its an expense on a product does not make it a tax.

When US citizens buy an imported good or product, they are in fact paying the tariff applied on it by the gov't. It ain't specifically a tax but it's basically and indirectly the same thing.

Just because you can find a news source that says that "Americans have paid it because prices have gone up" does not make it a tax. Nor does it mean Americans have paid it. If a company jacks up their prices because of the tariffs, then it's the company that paid it and Americans are paying more for their product. That doesn't mean AMERICANS ARE PAYING THE TARIFFS. If Americans chose to buy THAT companies FOREIGN PRODUCT, they might pay more for it. That's on the company, not the tariff. The company didn't HAVE to raise the price of the product, they CHOOSE TO. With a tax, THEY ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO CHARGE IT. BIG DIFFERENCE DUMBFUCK.

The Supreme Court said when you set tariffs, do it as the Constitution dictates. The congress has the power of the purse. If not, it is illegal. This restores seperation of power as set down by our founding fathers.

It is no different than immigrants. The US has not said no immigrants. It said immigrants must come in legally. The rules of our conststution must be followed. No illegal immigrants.

If it is good for immigrants, it is good for Donald Trump. DO IT BY THE RULES of our government.
