Tariff ruling.

Victimhood is the refuge of Trumpery.

A trio of developments delivered a punishing day for Trump on Friday, as new economic data showed sharply slower growth, inflation came in hotter than expected and the Supreme Court struck down far‑reaching global tariffs central to his economic agenda.
.... and it's always a bad hair day.
No, asshole.
We're not victims.
Your sick hatred of Trump shows the lack of depth you have. You're laughably inept.

Yeah. **** you.

Everyone else can impose tariffs on us but we can't reciprocate.

The reason for this crazy belief is because most of congress is robbing us blind and is being blackmailed by leftists who hate America.

The ruling is more narrow than pk and the other ***** probably understand

Trump said he could use IEEPA

He was wrong
If you say so. You are implying that he was wrong for standing up for America, which is what the tariffs are about. He used the wrong law.

He'll now go another route, one that likely has already been adjudicated on by the SCOTUS to be Constitutional.

Meh, after the smoke cleared away from all the hair on fire (both sides and the market) it seems Trump can still do what he's doing. Just have to jump though a couple more hoops to do it.

Not a nothing burger to be sure (a bad SCOTUS decision never is) but manageable.

We will be fine. :)

The Supreme Court did not ban tariffs.
The Supreme Court said when you set tariffs, do it as the Constitution dictates. The congress has the power of the purse. If not, it is illegal. This restores seperation of power as set down by our founding fathers.

It is no different than immigrants. The US has not said no immigrants. It said immigrants must come in legally. The rules of our conststution must be followed. No illegal immigrants.

If it is good for immigrants, it is good for Donald Trump. DO IT BY THE RULES of our government.

The Supreme Court did not ban tariffs. The ruling only said the IEEPA law used didn’t clearly authorize them.

Tariffs can still be imposed under other existing laws, including the Trade Act of 1974, the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, and the Tariff Act of 1930.

He’ll just impose them a different way
That is not true. He cannot impose the same amount of tariffs and in a comparable short period of time with the other bullshit sections.

So, Clinton and Obama played by those rules. Of course they had no politically derived impedance like Trump has had.

Trump fucked up by issuing these idiotic and illegal tariffs. SCOTUS fucked up by limiting the ability for the courts to issue nationwide TROs to stop the idiocy before it could be decided.

They fucked up.
They were working dumbass, but I see you loons pissed him off.
You freaked out.
I supported them.

The tariffs were struck down. Read Article I. Section VII. Clause I.

The Legislative Branch has the power to levy tariffs, NOT the Executive. You're using smoke and mirrors, Dementia Don had his ass handed to him.

Documented Fact
I remember those fake charges against Trump in New York.
Do you remember them?
The corrupt, disgusting Letitia James? The fraud who pressed fake charges?
And do you remember how the banks that Trump had owed money to not only didn't complain but praised him for being such a great customer?
Do you?
I do.

15th post
Every country imposes tariffs on us.
Of course, we're not allowed to return the "favor".
Welcome to being Uncle Sucker again. :icon_rolleyes:
I don’t oppose tariffs, I just know trump is doing it all wrong and he got you rubes into accepting higher taxes.

I pay my share and don’t constantly ***** about taxes, whereas you rubes have done a 180 since it involves trump

How sheepish are you?

Every single news source you could access will tell you that - Americans have paid the tariffs

Stop regurgitating nonsense that spills out of The Pie Hole of Donald J. Trump

No they haven't. They are paid by American corporations, dumbass. You show me your tariff tax payment receipt. They are NOT PAID BY THE TAXPAYER.

American tariffs are on FOREIGN GOODS coming into the country. The consumer doesn't pay that.

A tariff is a specific type of expense imposed on imported or exported goods, primarily designed to protect domestic industries from foreign competition and regulate trade, whereas a tax is a broad, mandatory fee on individuals or businesses for government revenue. Tariffs are paid at the border, while taxes are paid on domestic goods, income, or services.

Tariffs are not for gov't revenue. Just because its an expense on a product does not make it a tax.
