Trump threatens new 10% global tariff after Supreme Court rules against 'liberation day' tariffs

We bring in 20 million low skilled workers while shipping low skilled jobs overseas, creating a permanent class of people reliant on government welfare.

BRILLIANT PLAN.

USA IS CIRCLING THE DRAIN AND THE LEFT FLUSHED THE TOILET.

The 20 million illegals the left let in is the water in the reservoir tank.

Except the illegals mostly end up not taking welfare.... they work, and they earn.

Imagine losing to this Supreme Court which is a right wing Supreme Court.

Obviously "Bribe me" Thomas voted for Trump, Thomas would vote for anyone who throws money his way. But even Gorsuch voted for this and he was a Trump nominee.

But the funny thing is REPUBLICANS have been complaining about the president using powers that he shouldn't use for a long, long time. Let's see how they react to this one.

President Trump launches new 10% global tariff right after the Supreme Court ruling. This is bad ass! That’s my President! Tariffs stay in place! 🙌🏻

∙ China — was as high as 145%, then negotiated down to ~20%. Now 10%.
∙ European Union — 20%. Now 10%.
∙ Vietnam — 46%. Now 10%.
∙ Cambodia — 49%. Now 10%.
∙ India — 26%, then Trump doubled it to 50% as a “punishment.” Now 10%.
∙ Taiwan — 32%. Now 10%.
∙ South Korea — 25%. Now 10%.
∙ Japan — 24%, negotiated down to 15% in a deal. Now 10%.
∙ Thailand — 36%. Now 10%.
∙ Indonesia — 32%, negotiated to 19%. Now 10%.
∙ Bangladesh — 37%. Now 10%.
∙ Brazil — had an additional 40% tariff slapped on. Now 10%.
∙ Algeria, Angola, and dozens of African nations — 30-32%. Now 10%.

So you are essentially celebrating that the floor didn’t move while ignoring that the entire ceiling collapsed. The countries that actually drive U.S. trade — China, EU, the big Asian exporters ,all just got massive tariff relief that Trump didn’t wanna give them.

If the Supreme Court voted 9-0 to rip up the Constitution, would that be good?

If voters voted to make the USA communist, should it happen?

Lefties are crying about tariffs because it is Trump.

Lefties did not cry about Obama’s deportations.

ORANGE MAN BAD,

Not true. A percentage do and many are good. There is a game played with the social programs and agendas though with it. Many others are not working. When I saw the foreign flags in protests/riots/insurrections over a decade ago I knew something was wrong.

When you let in non citizens and give them the right to vote, their interests lie outside the USA AND LEADS TO DECLINE.

Canada is going to get whacked again, at least for the next 150 days or so. People know how Trump operates in the "the wall just got 10 feet higher" mode.

The Latest

  • U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new 10 per cent global tariff after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled he overstepped his authority when he brought sweeping levies into effect last year.
  • An angry Trump took questions from reporters, calling the plaintiffs "sleazebags" and saying that he was "ashamed" of some Supreme Court justices.
  • Trump also took a shot at Canada and the country's auto sector in his remarks. He said the country "ripped us off for 30 per cent of our market" and claimed that Mexico has ripped the U.S. off, too.
  • Auto, steel and aluminum tariffs have been the most damaging to Canada's economy. Those all remain in place.
  • CBC News is trying to clarify if CUSMA-compliant goods will be exempt from Trump's new global tariff.
You obviously aren’t in business. Trump is fucked. He has 150 days of the 10% “pout tax” then poof. He’s out of options. There is no emergency related to sock production that he can raise a tariff on them, or shoes, or avocados, or windshield wipers. A local court will cite the Supreme Court and place an injunction on any attempts. The DOJ will be in court constantly.

He can stop the 10% tariff one day before the 150 days expires and then a day or two later re-apply it for another 150 days. You may be too emotionally invested to understand how this can transpire. I have heard from informative sources. Furthermore, and more importantly from our standpoint; USMCA is to be negotiated in June and the U.S will negotiate two separate deals to maximize leverage.

And if they're not working, how are they getting benefits?

A better metric would be to look at the voting record of the SC Justices over the past 50 years. You’ll find that the republicans Justices are capable of forming different opinions and the Democrat Justices vote in lock step 99% of the time.
Go on then, prove it.

Ah yes, politics for ******* idiots..... maybe you should try books and shit.
/-----/ Your retort to my facts is "try books and shit?" How many of the 158,000,000 books and shit have you read? I love it when you guys use that deflection when you realize you lost a debate.

So, why don't you try this book and shit?
The explosive new book from Dinesh D'Souza, author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers Hillary's America, America, and Obama's America.

What is "the big lie" of the Democratic Party? That conservatives—and President Donald Trump in particular—are fascists. Nazis, even. In a typical comment, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow says the Trump era is reminiscent of "what it was like when Hitler first became chancellor."

But in fact, this audacious lie is a complete inversion of the truth. Yes, there is a fascist threat in America—but that threat is from the Left and the Democratic Party. The Democratic left has an ideology virtually identical with fascism and routinely borrows tactics of intimidation and political terror from the Nazi Brownshirts.

To cover up their insidious fascist agenda, Democrats loudly accuse President Trump and other Republicans of being Nazis—an obvious lie, considering the GOP has been fighting the Democrats over slavery, genocide, racism and fascism from the beginning.

Now, finally, Dinesh D'Souza explodes the Left's big lie. He expertly exonerates President Trump and his supporters, then uncovers the Democratic Left's long, cozy relationship with Nazism: how the racist and genocidal acts of early Democrats inspired Adolf Hitler's campaign of death; how fascist philosophers influenced the great 20th century lions of the American Left; and how today's anti-free speech, anti-capitalist, anti-religious liberty, pro-violence Democratic Party is a frightening simulacrum of the Nazi Party.

Hitler coined the term "the big lie" to describe a lie that "the great masses of the people" will fall for precisely because of how bold and monstrous the lie is. In The Big Lie, D'Souza shows that the Democratic Left's orchestrated campaign to paint President Trump and conservatives as Nazis to cover up its own fascism is, in fact, the biggest lie of all.
