Why do you think they've avoided the Democrat party itself, considering it was the Democrats whose roots were slavery, they fought for slavery, the confederates fought for the Democrats for slavery, and 100 years after slavery the Democrats even voted against civil rights?

All while the Republicans fought against slavery, and overwhelmingly supported civil rights.

Another bullshit thread from the OP.

Conservatives practiced chattel slavery. That used to be democrats. Now it’s republicans.

They evolved...the GOP regressed.

... because they were Conservatives then and now, then Dems and now GOP.

And why would you defend Dems.

More democrats voted for civil rights than republicans. A Democratic president advocated for the law, and after the law was passed, Republicans nominated a presidential candidate that voted against civil rights.

The cult fucks claim everyone swapped in 1965.

A Democratic president advocated for the law, and after the law was passed…

You mean the same Democrapic President that said this…?

“These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again.”

…and this…?

“I'll have them nіggеrѕ voting Democratic for two hundred years.”

And you think he was on your side?

The Democrats had the greater numbers in 1964 and 1965 for civil rights

Every southern GOP senator and representative voted against the CRA and the VA, including Goldwater.

Our kids are carefully parsed on this, because of the GOP lies.

He's not lying you just don't know how to evaluate information critically. The Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act with a greater percentage in terms of party votes, 82% to the Democrats 63% but more Democrats over all voted to pass it because there were more Democratic elected officials in office to vote.
