Veterans can rest easy now! The decades-long maltreatment and nonchalance towards these men and women used by industry as tools is now COMPLETELY FIXED now that the general has resigned. It was all his fault. 100%. It just started since the Obama Administration.

You are correct.... these problems have been at VA for decades. It does us know good to finger Democrats or Republicans for the past. Where Democrats and Republicans should be called out is if they are holding onto status quo operationally or obstructing a fix. Regarding the General, I don't think he should be fired. Unfortunately, the Washington Way (both parties) is to make change at the top as a symbol.

I have Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy. Which means that blood vessels like to grow in your eye where blood vessels aren't supposed to be and then bad things happen....

They burst. And your eye is filled with blood. And sometimes it can permanently damage your retina and sometimes it just blinds you.

I live in Fort Myers Florida but I have to go to Miami Florida VA because that's where the eye center is.

One evening, I lose vision in my eye. Can't see -- Nothing. Clouds of blood is all I can see.

No point going to a local Private E-Room, they'd be lost. No clue. All they'd do is laser the **** out of my eye in all directions and probably do more harm than good.

Besides, I didn't think it was damaging my retina and, as it turned out, I was right.

My lovely wife takes the next day off and drives to Miami -- Three hours one way.

I go into the Eye Clinic and wait in line, finally get to a VERY surly clerk and tell her the problem.

She doesn't care. Not interested. Tells me, "We're not a walk-in Clinic." Told me to go to the Emergency Room, which is usually a four to five hour wait.

I know better than to make a fuss because the VA Cops WILL beat your ass and throw you in the Jail there.

So I go searching for a Doctor, bouncing off walls and shit, and find one that I know from being there before.

She goes to the Clerk and tells her to pull my papers and sends me through the process. Gets me started.

You people have no idea what Government run Health Care is like. I do. And let me tell you something you're too stupid to know -- It SUCKS.

I mean it sucks big green donkey dicks.

And you know why it sucks?

Because that Big Fat, TV Mama Affirmative Action Hire would get her fat, stupid, ugly ass tossed into the street in a Private Practice.

NO Doctor and NO Clinic in the Private Sector would put up with her nasty, surly, ignorant attitude.

The Doctors and the Techs at the VA are pretty good.

Other than that, the VA SUCKS.

And the only thing the Lying ********** in Chief is going to do is make it worse. He will NEVER go against the scumbag, corrupt Unions that keep SHIT like that fat clerk on the job.

And that is why the VA, and any other goobermint-run activity, will ALWAYS SUCK.

Until the people who work at the VA are held to account, nothing will ever get better.

OBTW, I STILL have to go 150 miles one way (Three Hours) to get my eyes looked at.

I don't mind because I'm retired but it's still no fun. Three hours there, three hours back, waiting for an hour to see the tech, wait another hour to see the Doctor, she looks at me for 5 minutes and three hours later I'm back home.

IF I can find my volunteer driver. And IF there isn't another patient that's still waiting.

I get up at 4:30AM in the Morning and have gotten back as late as late as 9:00PM at night.
