I'm thinking that DOJ may be looking closely at the documents. Some of which may have contained automatic reclassification dates. The effect of that would be if Trump had a top secret document that he took to the residence in 2019, and became instantly declassified according to Trump. If it was scheduled to be downgraded (reclassified) secret, in 2020, that would override Trumps declassification.

This is why when something is declassified, they notify the original classifier, so something like that doesn't happen. But because Trump never told the original classifiers, they can reclassify the documents Trump held.
