"Trump DOJ Pursuing Separate Comey Probe for Classified Leaks

The Justice Department is pursuing additional charges against James Comey for allegedly leaking classified information, after the former FBI director’s unrelated indictment this week in North Carolina, said two people familiar with the matter.

Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia office that failed in its first criminal case against Comey last year for alleged false statements to Congress, have in recent weeks revived their separate, but interrelated, pursuit of Comey. The investigation is tied to his dissemination of documents to Columbia University Law Professor Daniel Richman, the individuals added. If successful, it would be the Trump DOJ’s third time indicting Comey since last fall.

Ever since Todd Blanche was elevated to acting attorney general, there have been active meetings on the classified information case between the deputy attorney general’s office and small team of EDVA prosecutors, said the people, who spoke anonymously about sensitive deliberations.

It hasn’t been decided if the department will present an indictment to a grand jury in Eastern Virginia, where Comey resides, or if the case could be pursued in a different location—such as in Richman’s home of New York."

I guess Biondi was the problem. Now the Democrat lawfare prosecutions can move forward.
The DOJ should also revisit the dismissed case as well.

Comey's daughter's lawsuit against Trump is doing well....thus the ridiculous distracting 8647 indictment.....and all these other made up, vindictive accusations and indictments that will go no where.
Trump lawfare will fail, once again.

Trump’s reverse lawfare card is working. 😂

It's the bottom of the first and it's 1-0. It's too early to get excited about what should have happened years ago, Comey behind bars.

There ya go. Comey is not going to lose on the 86 thing but leaking classified info? That should be a sure bet. In fact, if I remember correctly, he admitted to leaking classified info.

The case was dismissed because of the improper appointment of the prosecutor I believe. There was no evidentiary reason to dismiss the case.

What crime did he commit and a jury of 12 will convict him for it? Why do you want Comey behind bars? What is your beef?

What was the claimed classified info they said he released?

What was the claimed classified info they said he released?

Memo's detailing meetings with the President where Trump asked for personal loyalty and pressured Comey to take drop certain investigations that would be embarrassing to the President.

Bascially "politically" classified information and not national defense information.

Did you read your own info?

Yes.

Leaking political discussions with the President concerning personal loyality and the Presidents attempt to suppress criminal investigations that would prove embarrassing didn't seem to match up with any of the SOL extensions the DOJ lists.

And no, conversations with the President about loyalty and suppressing embarrassing criminal investigations are not a national defense issue, they are political.
