Please, Does Everyone Understand That "New Cases" Daily Panic Porn is Not "New Deaths?"

Perhaps the biggest mistake republicans will ever make is refusing to mourn for the dead and acting as if none of those people mattered.
Generally, when we discuss topics we assume that the people we are having the discussion with are adults with some common sense. Therefore, we don't feel the need to preface every conversation on the Covid-19 issue with, "Every death is a tragedy for those who are closest to the loved ones who died."

You see, we can and do have sympathy for them. What we don't do is make them political tools to fulfill political agendas.

We don't think that crashing an economy for the US and the world is justified for a 0.006% mortality rate. That has nothing to do with compassion for the death of someones loved one. The same reasoning applies to driving, cancer, heart disease, and any other killer of people.

It is a somber thing when someone dies. We do NOT stop living because they have.

Most adults learn that and learn to live with it.
Who's "We". The "real" Americans that scream in a store clerk's face if they are asked to wear a mask? The "patriots" who do not feel even the most minor sacrifice is worth saving an American life? Face it. None of your arguments has the slightest empathy for your fellow Americans. It's all selfish whining. They rolled back the shutdowns way early for the sake of the economy and the right cannot even be counted on to put a mask on in the store. "It's too hot, I can't breathe, muh rights!" Worst bunch of whiners ever.
I see that you just want to whine about not getting your way. You know, we fought a war over rights. We fought a war against Fascism. When a brown shirt wanna be wishes to slavishly enforce the fascism that is currently going on in this country, yeah. They scream back.

I'm sorry that you have been so indoctrinated that you drop to your knees in supplication when your government lies to you.

Stop whining about wearing masks and we will stop reminding you of how Nazi you're acting.
I'm not acting like a Nazi. I'm acting like someone who cares about my country and my fellow Americans enough to do one little thing to protect them. I don't want to get this thing but I really don't want to give it to someone else like my wife or coworkers because of simple laziness.
But YOU are acting like a Nazi. I care about this country too, and as I said, we don't stop living because 0.006% of the country may die.

In this country, 2 million people die a year. With the Covid, it is now 2 million plus the covid.

We don't shut down a country and cause near irreparable harm for ourselves, nor should we. How you show you care is by supporting an economy that brings the best and brightest to bear on solving the issues that kill all humans. Covid, Cancer, Alzheimer, etc..

The answer is simple.

If you don't want to get this thing, or give it to someone you love -- STAY THE FUCK HOME.

We do NOT quarantine the healthy, we quarantine the sick.

By forcing people to wear masks and stay home, not work, worry about their children's education you are causing more death than the damned virus.

We are a free people and we do not take kindly to delusional tin Gods acting as jackbooted thugs for a lying government.

Now, is that so hard to understand?
Still, all I'm hearing is that you think your comfort is more important than any number of American lives.

With the push for kids going back to school we are hearing about how dangerous COVID is for children even after Fauci has said the opposite. With death counts going down the next media hype will be even after recovering people still experience heath issue related to complication of COVID or something along those lines.

It has nothing to do with comfort and everything to do with not being a lemming and just handing over liberties because 'they say so'.

There has NOT been the science, nor the reasonable justification for taking away the rights of the citizens over this entire alleged pandemic.

There is no threat if imminent death. There is really no threat of death at all unless you fall into a specific category.

Let Me see if I can find an example of the dangers of covid.

Florida is about to be hit by a hurricane. Florida is in the 'at risk' category and when a hurricane strikes, there is the threat of imminent loss of life. Therefore the people have rightly decided that the prudent thing to do when lives are in immediate risk is to obey evacuation orders. Even that is a bit misleading because people have the right to stay in their homes, regardless of the immediate threat to their life.

Now, Covid is such that we look at the elderly and those with compromised health as 'Florida' or in the 'at risk' category.

So, what sense does it make to evacuate Nebraska when Florida is going to get hit by a Hurricane?

I've been through a bunch of hurricanes including a direct hit by Michael. Comparing a hurricane to this pandemic is instructive in a way you didn't intend. Hurricanes have a way of finding the holes in your planning and the structural deficiencies in your house. We learn what works by the failures. As far as I can tell republicans have learned nothing at all and want to build back after this "hurricane" by mandating we do it with cardboard and matchsticks.
