Secret Service Driver Says Cassidy Hutchinson Lied and Trump Did Not Grab for Steering Wheel in Limo on J6

From the J6 hearing:

"During Hutchinson's testimony, she was asked by the select committee's vice chair, U.S. Rep Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming, to recount the moments after Trump was driven away from his speech on the Ellipse on Jan. 6. Hutchinson's remarks referenced Bobby Engel, whom she referred to as the head of Trump's Secret Service detail, as well as another security official named Tony Ornato, who also served as the White House deputy chief of staff.

Hutchinson testified that Ornato told her in his office in the West Wing, with Engel in the room, that Trump became angry in his Suburban after being informed he was being driven back to the White House. The president had previously told the crowd at his rally that he would be walking with them to the Capitol.
(Note: Hutchinson referred to the presidential limousine known as "The Beast." However, Trump rode in a Suburban that day.)

According to the testimony, Trump believed he was going to be driven to the Capitol following his speech. Hutchinson said:

'Tony [Ornato] described him as being irate. The president said something to the effect of, "I'm the f'ing president, take me up to the Capitol now," to which Bobby [Engel] responded, "sir, we have to go back to the West Wing." The president reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel. Mr. Engel grabbed his arm, said, "sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel. We're going back to the West Wing. We're not going to the Capitol."
Mr. Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel. And Mr. — when Mr. Ornato had recounted this story to me, he had motioned towards his clavicles.'

Again, we've seen no 'under oath' testimony from Ornato (who relayed this tale to Hutchinson) denying her account of him telling the tale.

But whether this was just some old dude trying to impress a pretty young brunette, or whether it truly happened is, in the larger picture, small potatoes.

The more salient aspect of her testimony is that Don Trump was well aware that a significant portion of his Ellipse crowd was armed and he still.....still! ......instructed them to fight like hell and march upon our elected legislators.

To wit:
"He knew right before he took that stage that that crowd was armed. He knew they were headed to the Capitol and he was so confident that they were not going to do anything to him, they were there for him, that he was willing to risk his own security by telling people that he wanted those mags taken down," Honig said. "To me, that could lend itself to a conspiracy charge, to an obstruction charge, even to a seditious conspiracy charge, which requires a showing that force was part of the plan."

Hutchinson also quoted her former boss saying that Trump "doesn't want to do anything" about calls for violence against then-Vice President Mike Pence.
"He thinks Mike deserves it," she recalled Meadows saying.

Trump “asked to go to the Capital” is a far cry from him attempting to hijack “The Beast” to go to the Capital to overthrow the Government, Simp.

The guy who was in the car didn't say that Trump didn't grab the wheel. He said he "didn't see" Trump grab the wheel. Not the same thing as "it never happened". Something could have happened when he was looking the other way. "I didn't see it" is a weasel way of lying. If your eyes are cllosed, you didn't see it and you're not lying.

She is a liar like you.

Your story is changing. It’s under oath, which was the standard until you just tried to change it, Stupid.

Did Hutchinson testify in a court of law? Nope.

:oops8:
She testified UNDER OATH before Congress.

No one has rebutted her story UNDER OATH in either a court of law or before Congress

: crickets: from Faun

Pussy.

No she didn't lie. She didn't say Trump grabbed the wheel. She said that Tony Ornato told her that Trump grabbed the wheel. The ONLY way she lied is if Tony Ornato didn't tell her that. Ornato says he "doesn't recall" whether he had a conversation with Hutchison.

The ONLY way Hutchison could be lying is if Tony Ornato didn't tell her that.

This is why you're Nostra Dumbass.

Which is a cute linguistic way to avoid the real issue, why the democrats thought it a good idea to include such a dramatic story with no substantiation that is very likely untrue.

So they took no testimony nor were they out to get Trump?

Her story has been debunked. I thought you understood that.

Cassidy Hutchinson wasn't there in the vehicle with Trump. She repeated what Tony Ornato told her. He resigned a couple months later.
