On Thursday, five middle school female athletes in West Virginia staged a "step out" protest and refused to compete against a trans-identified male in the shot put event.

In a video posted online, the girls stepped into the box when their name was called to throw, and then one by one they stepped out without throwing their shot.
In the post, former University of Kentucky swimmer turned women rights advocate, Riley Gaines said, "It's a sad day when 13-14yr old girls have to be the adults in the room." She added, "But I couldn't be more inspired by and proud of these girls.

"Enough is enough. The tide is turning!" Gaines concluded.

According to Outkick, the protest was conducted at the 2024 Harrison County Middle School Championships by girls on the Bridgeport Middle School girls' track and field team.

the protest came just two days after the United States Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that West Virginia state law banning males in female sports could not be enforced in regard to 13-year-old trans athlete Becky Pepper-Jackson, who they were competing against that day.

What a bunch of hate filled transphobes....
Genocide!

They are right and you are wrong.
So an exception to everything else you post ...iF you call yourself trans you must be trans.

Kudos to those five girls.

That is the only way to stop this madness of transwomen competing against cisgender women.

Of course, transpeople should always be treated with kindness and understanding.

But they should in turn respect the rights of cisgender people.

Aren't you a female? ....wtf is wrong with you?
Absolutely nothing.

Shot put (like every track and field event) is non contact. Throwing your shot put is what you do. If you don't win the competition that is one thing...if you don't try...that is a completely different matter.

That being said...if the sport were a contact sport, I couldn't blame any female for not wanting to compete against a dude. It should never be sanctioned by any governing body. Anyone has the right to identify however they wish. Society is under no obligation to make accommodations for it however.

But back to the event at hand...non contact--middle school. No stakes; no problem.

The male has an unfair advantage when competing against females. That is a simple fact.

The girls did the right thing.
By choosing not to take the field? In middle school? What was the harm of coming in 2nd or 3rd place in such a competition?

Should Troy State just refuse to play Alabama next year? Nobody in the universe thinks they are going to win.

Damn the Democrats hate women.
These young girls work hard to compete in a sport, hoping they can win.
And along comes a biological boy wearing girls clothing... and that is all she wrote. Boy wins, girls lose.
As noted - the boy threw 95'.... which is actually highly competitive for a boys team.
The national average for a middle school girls is 40 - 50'.

Do you listen to the garbage you say,
"

"

You have no right to identify as you wish. Where do you get that? A man passing as a woman is a pervert

Biden was so proud of his picks for government but Sam Brinton is a pervert. Ask my co-workers, students, neighbors, children
A GODDAM PERVERT

Yeah, in middle school. If a sporting authority allows biological males to compete against women, the women must simply stop competing in those events.

When the event can only muster a couple of trannies to compete, the event will collapse, and the stupidity will end.

Well, thats one idea.

But lets say this wasn't middle school and say it was an event with 12th graders were about to compete in the shot put and the same five girls (who would be young women at the time in high school) decided to not compete. What does a college coach do with their track scholarship application showing they chose not to compete instead of just doing their best?

I'm sure you'll have some sort of snide comment because that's all you are capable of.

Do you understand what the word compete means?
Using your logic, there should be no age/sex/size differentiation at all.
So a female 5' 4" 125lb. girl is a weenie if she won't box a 6' 3" 250lb male.
Do you even realize how dumb you are being?
The boy in girls clothing threw a 95'... the average middle age girl throws between 40'-50'. There have been a few girls who have thrown 80'.
That is not competition at all.

Doing their best against a person who is MALE, is a waste of time. It proves nothing other than men are stronger than women, and so long as males are allowed to crush women in sport, those sporting events aren't legit.

So, women shouldn't compete in them, let the event die, and only then will the idiots be forced to ban MEN from competing against girls.

I'll refer you to post #8 of this thread.

Thanks.
