One week ago, it started to become clear that one key component of the package -- the small business 'paycheck protection' forgivable loans -- were extremely popular would need more funding to keep up with demand. Because the previous legislative process (described above) had been so needlessly contentious, causing so much precious time to be wasted, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wisely opted to propose a clean, standalone "top up" of that existing pot of money. The program itself was devised by Senators from both parties, the need was undeniable and a point of consensus, and the structure had already been negotiated and agreed to.

Nevertheless, Democrats decided that they wanted to exploit the moment, demanding many billions in add-ons. Republicans countered that additional priorities could be debated and addressed in broader 'phase four' legislation, arguing that this was a smarter course of action anyway because much of the 'phase three' money hadn't even begun to go out the door yet. Let's replenish the PPP silo now, which will soon be urgently needed, then weigh other spending in the next stage, they said, noting that they don't automatically oppose any number of Democrats' proposals. Democrats rejected this idea, objecting to the plan and derailing it for days. And now here we are, as of yesterday:

The article then talks about how Pelosi (who really is getting to be as fucked up as Biden) has countered this.....then....

Meanwhile, Pelosi is giving interviews applauding Senate Democrats for refusing to fund paycheck protection for workers...while standing in front of her $22,000 refrigerator system, filled with premium chocolates and expensive ice cream. Just watch for yourself, then recall her comments about the president "fiddling" while the country suffers. I don't begrudge Pelosi her wealth, her luxury goods, or her expensive tastes. Good for her. But any Republican engaged in these optics, under these exact circumstances, would be getting absolutely roasted. I'll leave you with this:

The last time Republicans used the anti-Pelosi strategy was the 2018 midterms.
It worked out great (for Democrats).

Sometimes I think Pelosi is working for Trump....
Too bad President Trump isn't cooperating. He's leaving her out of the loop on account of her sedition towards him before and after her fake impeachment shit. And she cannot do anything about it except ride her broom off into the starlit night.

And we're all so broken up about it. :eusa_boohoo:

Pelosi believes in hoarding for Demmies. The Demmies just gave over $75 million to PBS to give Michelle "It's only a damn flag" Obama a nice little contract job that pays oh, $75 million or so. And they think the taxpayers are going to lay back for it.

Socialism!

See you in November.
Yup, can hardly wait for similar results to 2018 election, whereas 2016 might happen, but a repeat of (D) slaughtering the (R) is more likely.

I don't foresee a slaughter by the Dems over the Reps. More like a whimper. The Senate Rep Leaders (except for Moscow Mitch) are very worried about 5 seats being lost in 2020. That's enough to shift the Dems into dominance in the Senate. The House Dems will lose a few seats but they have a nice padding so they won't lose control. Then there is the Presidency.

The Worst thing that could happen would be for the Dems to gain control of the Senate, House and Presidency. The ONLY way I would want to see Rump reelected is if the Reps lost control of the Senate. But the problem is, the Reps are working hard to make that a reality. With the insanity in Washington today, neither party should have complete control.

Yah, I know, both sides wet dream about it but that is how we will get some of the strangest laws every made. 40 years ago, it wasn't a real problem but today with the extremists in office, it's a design for disaster.

Lol Who’s gonna beatTrump three-time loser Sleepy joe Biden? lol

I hope people are not taking victory for granted.

I suspect there will be some very underhanded activity on the part of the left.
Absolutely not

From the OP..................

Pelosi: ‘As the president fiddles, people are dying’

Spot on Nancy.

BTW, Townhall is a disingenuous, right wing rag. But I bet you already knew that.
Says the bitch that laughingly sucks down $ 13.00 a pint ice cream while pandering to the out of touch elitist media as small business owners livelihoods are destroyed waiting on help.

Yes, you probably watch PMSNBC.

Where Chris Hayes lies out his ass on a nightly basis. And tries to look all cool and smart doing it.

You are dupe no matter what source you suck on.

That has to be one of the biggest bonehead moves I've ever seen.

I am considering writing her a thank you note.

I realize the truth looks like lies to Trump cultists because everything you believe is bullshit.

Mnuchin, Pelosi say ‘very close’ to a deal on second round of small business loans
