Making good on Sen. John McCain's threat to withhold all Republican cooperation from Democrats in the Senate in retribution for the majority party using reconciliation to pass health care reform, the GOP used the rule that states committees can only meet when the chamber is in session with the unanimous consent of all members. That consent has almost never been withheld -- until now.

Huff Post

So will this really amount to anything...is it even really going on...

Looks like we're heading for the age of "anything is fair game"

"That'll teach dem darr Dems!"

Nice job. I fully support Congress meeting as little as possible. They should only meet a couple of times a year and for very short sessions. The less they're in session, the less damage they can do to our nation. I think most Americans just can't wait for them to go away on Recess. It's like a big sigh of relief for Americans when they go away. There seems to be some real Peace & Tranquility when they're gone. Can they vote themselves an early Recess?
