I suppose the discussion topic of this thread would be your opinion of human nature in general and how certain political views are formed around it. If human nature (in general) is to be self-interested and greedy, then you can't have the power centralized too much. It goes hand-in-hand with the other saying: absolute power corrupts absolutely.
