"No Kings" crowd greets King Charles with a standing ovation

Does anyone understand the joke the King made about Americans speaking French if not for the U.K?

All that I have read in history suggests it was the French who helped the Americans, primarily due to the battle of empires between the French and Brits. Perhaps he is suggesting that if the French had acted first and attacked the British seeking independence in America that the French would have overwhelmed them and won?

Can anyone explain his joke to me? Other than New Orleans I believe and perhaps a few little pockets, the French were not a threat as the old British monarchy was. Also, there is a reason they created and sent the most majestic Statue of Liberty.

If not for WWII in my opinion, the French would have remained a closer ally to the U.S, the spirit of French liberty was always an undertone to American life. The Brits unfortunately wasted the potential due to their desire for control. It was revived for WWII and then during the Cold War, today neither nation in Europe shares much in common with the U.S.

The U.S maintained fidelity to their Constitution and thankfully Trump won to stop the open border that would have perhaps irreparably damaged American life.

Look another pro-king dembot
the head of state is different from the head of government in the UK.
The so-called "king" is the head of state, with some reserve powers and performs ceremonial functions.

The prime minister is head of government, and oversees the elected parliament: Keir Starmer today.
In this country, it would behoove us to look at their system, since it ranks 17th on the global democracy rankings, with our country at 36th. Do some inner work to find why we have dropped so low.

and your point? You seem to be trying to justify your pro-king views....it's weird.

Well, how nice.

We all know the "No Kings" is just a leftist pysop.

You literally can't make this sh!t up. No Kings protestors literally giving a real King a standing ovation. LOL

Not a single no kings protester

No kings “crowd”, he said “crowd”. Those are the no kings supporters.

Also, there have been a few democrat lawmakers who have shown up at no kings protests

It is ironic that they protest “no kings”, yet any of them would follow any democrat leader lock step..

UK ranks 17th on quality of democracy
With the United States at 36th, they deserve a standing ovation for doing better than us.

Considering the US isn’t a democracy…I’m surprised we’re not lower

So you protest not a king, but you won't protest a real king. Liberal logic.

No kings wasn’t really that they THOUGHT trump was trying to be a king, the whole thing is just another excuse to get out in the streets and stomp and pout and act out

Since you capitalized it, please explain the "Great Reset".

Sounds like some nativist right wing BS.

You could argue that he stayed loyal to Camilla his whole life.

He should have been allowed to marry her in the beginning, except she wasn’t considered good enough to marry a Royal. And also, the Monarchy wanted a brood mare (Diana) to ensure the lineage.

We thought the Establishment had learnt its lesson >> a bi-racial divorced American woman known as Meghan Markle. And look at the thanks it got for being so tolerant and welcoming.

I bet Harry rues the day.
Charles and Camilla are the gold standard in relationships. They stayed devoted their entire lives.
